The benefits of being gay

Today my cousin gave birth to a baby girl (possibly the cutest baby I've seen!). Out of my family and cousins, I am the youngest. Everyone else in the family is either married or engaged, and now the majority have babies.
When things like a new baby being welcomed or when a wedding is happening in my family, I know it's stupid and immature but I can't help but feel a little sad just for the fact that I'll miss out on that. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Anyway, I like to think I'm a glass half full kind of guy and I really don't like dwelling on the negatives, but I need a hand from you guys because it is freakin' baby central over here at the moment......SO:

What do you feel are the benefits of being gay? icon_wink.gif

We can handle more rejection than straight people, without becoming irate.
We actively promote population control, instead of just bitching about it and having more kids.
We have better style, better grooming, and better hygiene than straight guys.
We provide "relief" for our straight friends who just can't get their wife or gf to put out.
We keep ourselves in better physical shape, on average, than most straight guys.
We make up statistics to prove that we're better than straight guys.
And last but not least, we're just plain ol' fucking awesome. icon_biggrin.gif

a lot of straight people find gay people exotic and interesting (even the average, bland or boring gays get an edge here LOL)

that's why some straight guys go for a metrosexual, ambiguous look to seem more interesting than they really are icon_twisted.gif

I have to agree - There is nothing that says because you are gay you cannot have kids or celebrate your relationship with a spouse. Believe me, my family is more interested in me getting married to my partner then I am. They have conversations about it when i'm not around and have determined how half the ceremony will be set up already....

I think its wrong to buy into the idea that just because you are gay you are missing out on "straight" people activities. I full plan to have children one day and to get married as well...

I have never really thought about it like that. I guess I've always just assumed that being gay means I won't ever get to do those things. Time to change my thinking.

We can have children when we're ready instead of worrying about a surprise pregnancy.

I plan on having kids too... but regardless one of the major benefits of being gay/bi etc (not "straight")

    is being surprisingly more interesting.

    Benefits to being gay:

Gay guys are more likely to have more connections to people other than in sexual ways. Example: its gotten me 3 job offers.

There is always someone that wants to cuddle icon_smile.gif

Guys are easier to understand than Girls

You can do some stuff without being embarrassed BECAUSE YOU'RE GAY

and thats about all i can think of right now ahha

    1. People automatically assume you are:
stylish, have a nice home, are clean, are fun to be around and party with
    2. You get away with doing things that most men can't
i.e. slapping a girls ass, making a comment like ''maybe you should go change out of that''
    3. You can't accidently get another man pregnant
At least if a gay couple has a child it is because they REALLY wanted that child and it wasnt a case of martini night and the lack of a condom icon_idea.gif

You can almost double your wardrobe with your man in your life - Try doing that with a woman.

No one asks you "What are you thinking?" and then doesn't believe you when you say, "Nothing."

You CAN roll over and go to sleep after sex.

You never have to go to the store and by feminine products. (No I don't think the tube of Bliss Naked Body Butter from Nordstrom's counts as a feminine product.)

Champagne, lemon, and asparagus are also colors in your world, and not just foods.

The house does look just like page 57 of some magazine.

    The shoes!

Straight men look so much older than their contemporaries who are gay. This is true mainly because their lives, i.e. wives and children, stress them out so damn much.

When you are straight what woman is going to be comfortable walking up to you and asking your to give her boobs a squeeze to see if you think they are evenly firm?

Straight men - Abs over 40? Statistics are less in their favor than ours.

We tend to have more available income, statistically speaking, because we attain a higher level of education in comparison to our straight counterparts.

We can have nice things. This is also true because there aren't, for the most part, kids running around breaking them.

We have the opportunity to travel more, save the occasional gaybie.

We don't lose half of our shit in a divorce. Be careful what you wish for men, you just might get it.

*There is no need to share, comment, zing, zap, dig, or blast the author for his perspective on kids and marriage. JUST SHUT IT! icon_eek.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif
