I am assuming most of you saw the transcript of Rekers most recent call to Lucien.

    Miami link: http://blogs.miaminewtimes.com/riptide/2010/05/things_rekers_said_to_lucien_w.php

    Towerload: http://www.towleroad.com/2010/05/over-speakerphone-george-rekers-tries-to-silence-rent-boy-.html

The poor kid needs guidance and he is right he is going to get a lot of pressure from the Gay community. This is a huge chance for us to take down their leaders.

He could be known as someone who pushed the gay movement forward, or like he fears, always known for saying nothing.

Shit if it were I, I would have a book deal already, imma ho y'all

On a serious, anyone in S. Florida who can step in to help? He deserves it.

Poor kid . . . my guess is that if he was willing to record this conversation and so clearly articulate his disagreements with his former client, he's well on his way to standing up. Rekers is an idiot if he thinks a call like this is really going to keep the kid quiet.

When I saw this article I pretty quickly thought of DancerJack as the best person for Lucien to have on his side.

What do you have in mind? We can't take another person to live here. We have many influential contacts, but what do you want? I might be able to hide this kid somewhere with someone, for a short time, but what are you asking us?

I might be able to get him some legal help, from a very famous local gay attorney, assuming he wants to get involved. So what are you requesting? I agree, this kid needs some help -- what specifically can we do?

Post here or email me directly. I will help this kid if within my abilities.

I read the transcript/article. I just want to give the guy a good meal and a hug.

I guess he needs advice as to how to deal with the situation in the way which damages him the least. He´s 20 and was catapulted into this mess by the actions of a deluded hypocrite.

Damn, I just phoned my attorney's office, and he is gone for the day, and for the weekend I presume. We see him all the time at functions, but none on our calendar for this weekend, It will have to wait until Monday. Not the kind of emergency I would try to reach him before then.

So OK, I'll see where this issue is on Monday, and contact him if appropriate. His pic is in my RJ private photos, for those of you who have access. I think what this kid needs is a PR advisor, in addition to an attorney, but I don't know if our own attorney has such a contact. I will find out on Monday.

Just someone who can "help" the "kid" through such a mental %&*# job that's all.

From the script it seems like he knows nothing about being gay other than having sex with men. He just needs a good voice and I was hoping some people could try and say hi. We don't want to force anything but hell, as odd as it may seem, I would invite him to dinner and say, "let it out" just to see what page he is on.

Unfortunately, I have no contact info other than Rentboy.com icon_sad.gif

He needs to be protected from the Republican party's tentacles.
You got to know that they're after him and are pulling out all the stops trying to get him to shut up one way or another.

We need to protect him, support him, and make sure he knows that there's nothing the Repubs could possibly do to him that we can't protect him from, and nothing they possibly could offer him that he wouldn't get from us.

Hey everybody-- two places it couldn't hurt to send an email--

Central Florida Gay and Lesbian Law Association is the most local possible source for pro bono legal help for Jo-vanni if he is sued for violating a confidentiality agreement. Their email is mailbox (at) cfglla (dot) org and their website is http://www.cfglla.org/

The Point Foundation "provides financial support, mentoring, leadership training and hope to meritorious students who are marginalized due to sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression." Jo-vanni was paying his way through college with his work, and if he stops working for his own safety a scholarship like this might make all the difference in his life. Their email is info (at) pointfoundation (dot) org and their website is http://www.thepointfoundation.org/

Edit: the CFGLLA address listed above is not valid; however, you can write them through this page on their website:
