The Facts About Abortion

Abortion is one of the most common surgical procedures in the world, but the average person knows little of its gruesome reality. Year after year, it lurks in the shadows, quietly destroying more than 3,000 innocent human beings a day in the U.S. and 130,000 a day worldwide. In the U.S., this is happening because seven Supreme Court Justices decided that abortion was a constitutionally protected act. Without a vote, without public debate, abortion came in through the back door, never having to bear up under the weight of significant public scrutiny. Today, abortion is a billion-dollar industry which enjoys the support of very influential people in very high places. High schools and universities go to great lengths to graphically expose the dangers of smoking, drunk-driving and STD’s, but take a pass when it comes to abortion. Abort73.com exists to tell you what almost no one else is, so please, don’t make up your mind until you’ve taken the time to examine the facts. You are standing on the threshold, so come a little further. We dare you to know.

See the facts about abortion here at this link:

It's sad and pathetic how RJ's zombie cultist with Stockholm syndrome feels the need to promote anti-gay websites.

The website is about abortion. Pro Life is not antigay and there is no anti gay in the website. More lies. icon_sad.gif

In fact the truth is that Pro-Choice is more anti gay than Pro-Life people by it's insistence that not all human life is valuable, especially those who are not wanted in this life and gays are one of the minorities today that some want to exterminate for the good of society. So those gays who support Pro Choice are actually admiting that society has a right to end their life as a gay man, if they are not wanted in society.

I went to that site, and read this gem, which I paste:

"God established government to be His legal representative on earth."

Not exactly what our US Declaration of Independence and Constitution say, which contend the people are in charge of the government, not God. And whose God? The Jewish God, Muslim God, or which Christian denomination's God? There are a lot to choose from.

The site then goes on to explain why our US government must stop abortions, because God does not want them, and our government is God's instrument on Earth. Gosh, I wonder why we bother having elections, since God is in charge?

That site is describing how a Christian theocracy operates, not a democratic republic. And this is what barefootdude presents to us here, as what we should believe & follow. This is pure lunacy, not to mention being un-Constitutional, and un-American.

This US government belongs to ME, and to all other US citizens. Despite what that site says, our government is not the property of God, who did not "establish" it, and who does not make its laws, nor even determine what those laws should be. That barefootdude would link a site that makes those claims reveals to us a mindset that has no respect for our system of self-government, nor of the laws enacted by it.

We are instead to be God's puppets, subject to "his" government and laws. Our legal guidance comes from the Bible, generously quoted at that site, not from our Constitution. This is what Christian fundamentalists want for our country, as Islamic fundamentalists want in their countries: rule by religion, not by the people. Listen to those like barefootdude, and that is what we will have in the US.

considering it's not your body and your life you should shut the fuck up...

What would you prefer? a child born into the world to parents who didn't want it and thus feel constant resentment towards the child and the lives it destroyed?

But still, considering it's not your body and your life you should shut the fuck up...

That website refers to homosexuality as a "competing immorality".

    http://abort73.com/end_abortion/answering_common_objections_to_involvement/

"The following objections are representative of many of the concerns that biblically minded people have with taking on what they deem “social issues”. While the objections below apply to social activism in general, our responses are specifically aimed at justifying (and compelling) real and expressed Christian opposition to abortion. Why? Because abortion stands paramount in today’s so-called culture war. Homosexuality, pornography, the removal of the Ten Commandments, etc... these issues, important though they be, can not come close to matching the urgency or injustice of abortion. None of these competing immoralities directly result in the massive slaughter of innocent human beings."

We had a mother who didn't want her twin sons here and killed them in the bathtub because she couldn't afford their medical bills. Are you saying she was unjustly sentenced to life in prison because they were her children and she should not be forced to raise children that she can not afford? Are you saying we should allow her to end their lives because they are her children and they came from her own body? This is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If parents don't want to raise children who are gay, are you saying this should be their choice since they are their children and they came from their own body, and nobody else should interfere with what they do with their own children? Everyone should just shut the fuck up about what they do to their own children? Guys, this is sick!!!!!!!

This mother honesty did not see anything wrong with what she did. Her defence in court even said the same thing that abortion is allowed, so why not this? These were her children was the defence and she didn't have the financial means to take care of these children with their health problems, so the the defence was that she should not be charged with 1st degree murder, considering the circumstances. Thankfully the jury did not buy into this argument and she was sentenced to life in prison.

What sane parent today has resentement toward their children just because they were born? Are you serious? Those twin babies did not belong to the jury either and were not part of their body or life either, but they did not shut the fuck up. They spoke up with a life sentence in prison. Science and biology has proven with FACTS that there truly does exist human life in the womb. Pro Choice are trying to cover up the facts that are there.

The termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus; especially: the medical procedure of inducing expulsion of a human fetus to terminate a pregnancy. (Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary

A Christian politician, if he is not going to be a hypocrite and willfully sin againt his God has to govern in his political office according to his faith and beliefs. To do otherwise is to be the biggest hypocrit there ever was. If the American people choose to elect Christian politicians, they can NOT be a hypocrite and speak, act, or vote contrary to their Christian beliefs. And the government under our Constitution is forbidden from forcing ANYONE, including our politicians or the President of the United States from speaking, acting, or voting contrary and against their religious faith and belief. Our government does not have any rights under our Constitution to forbid Christians (including Christian politicians and presidents) from living their Christian faith AT ALL TIMES, including their work as a politician or president..

So then, a devout christian government worker can turn around and reverse that government largesse that allowed you to own your home when she finds out you're a bisexual? Especially if she's a Westboro church member and sees you here on RJ?

Why would a GAY" man care about abortion much less seeking to validate his views, or what a woman and her man's decision should be with THEIR unborn embryo? ultimately it is the "HETEROSEXUAL" couple's concerns and not a HOMOSEXUAL that really matters on whether abortion is the right or wrong choice!!!

Well, not quite... The President, Vice-President, all Members of Congress, the Justices of the Supreme Court and every Federal Judge, and all Federal military Officers and Enlisted Persons take an oath to uphold the US Constitution. While the Constitution does not prohibit the free exercise of religion, neither does it allow religion to trump the Constitution and US law. That is what you are advocating, and this site you linked here: the supremacy of certain narrow Christian beliefs over the US Constitution.

And as I asked before, WHOSE Christian beliefs? Catholics, or Protestants, and which Protestant denominations? And what about Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and other beliefs? Do they have no place in American life and law?

This is what you are proposing, the very thing the Founders of this country were trying to avoid, having seen how religious wars & disputes had torn Europe apart for centuries. And you want to return to that? Politics as the battleground for religious doctrine? This is what the US Constitution rejected, that fanatics like you are trying to introduce, to the great peril of our nation.

I am a lifelong feminist and the gay rights movement owes much to those women who first articulated that the government has no right to tell us what to do with our bodies.

Once the government can force a woman to carry a fetus to term, what is to stop them from saying you will have your balls removed and your ass sewed up to prevent you from fucking?

Thought I personally would not have an abortion (if I were a woman, of course) I have a large family and an amazing support system. Many women do not. I have severe reservation about late term abortion, but I also feel that previous "pro-life" administrations have severely limited women's access to now just abortion, but also to reproductive advice, technology and birth control.

The facts are these: If you want to lower abortion rates, the US needs to provide more access to education, birth control and family planning services. That happened under Clinton and every year of his presidency abortion rates went down. Then Bush eviscerated these serves and subjected millions of teenagers to abstinence only sex ed and the abortion rates in the country soared.
