Has anyone here ever used the website bidfire.com? It seems pretty cool; people winning high quality merchandise for a VERY small fraction of the usual cost (i.e. $1200 macbook for less than 15.00)

Apparently, to win, it doesn't matter how many times you bid, just as long as you're the "last" person to bid. Each item has a set bidding amount from a few cents to a dollar. Each time you click "bid" the time resets itself and adds on that much more money.

Interesting concept. Has anyone here ever done it? If so, does time ever run out? Do they just expect someone will stick with it while everyone else gets tired and decides to stop bidding?

If it's anything like BidCactus or one of the others, they suck you in with seemingly low prices, BUT!!! Whenever someone bids as the clock ticks down to Zero seconds, it re-sets the clock another 15 seconds or so....

..and unless you have bucket loads of "points" to 'spend' and time to sit & watch all damn day....you ain't winning sh*t.
I think they have staff members bidding to re-set the clock.

Like the casinos, the "house" always wins.
