A bit confused by when people mean masculine/feminine

Maybe I'm naive, but I remember going on a dating site for fun, and a lot of guys post stuff like "I'm a proud masculine guy" or "I'm a feminine guy" and it seems a lot of gays easily label themselves that. I just see myself as a typical guy, I mean I'm not big and macho, I'm on the lean/slim side. But, my character is very masculine, I'm pretty much one of the guys and people constantly mistaken me for being straight, which is a bit annoying considering I'm not haha.

My assumption is a feminine guy is kinda like the flamboyant stereotypes that people say are "obviously gay" and a masculine guy is basically a guy that acts more boyish/manly. Then again, I could be wrong.

Oh, for all that is Cory Heart, stop using labels; they are totally subjective.

Some may say I’m masculine until they hear me rip out a pitch perfect Cher montage—then not so much.

Lol...sorry if this is a redundant topic, but I didn't wanna be left in the dark as far as terminology is concerned
