Asking for trouble when dating artists of any kind, trust me...I'm an artist and I'm a handful.

Why? Most musicians are broke and selfish with their time LOL.

I have dated two musicians. There are few things in this world than I loved more than one of them sitting at a piano and singing me a song.

Also, it is quite difficult to give head while they are playing.

    I dated a singer and a dancer.

Dancers are freaks (in a complete good way).

The singer i dated was a huge drama queens true story. he was also very passionate, loving, and caring. But prepare for OMG about once a week.

I wouldn't generalize every musician based on these posts though, everyone has their little quirks ya know

Actors and models are the worst! Talk about self absorbed. They will tell you all about themselves and don't even think about interrupting to tell them anything about yourself.

not gonna make any generalizations about it but guy i'm seeing is a dj and i'm enjoying it. on the positive side we get into the same weird kinds of music that we can't relate to other homos over, and it's nice to read about him in magazines and listen to his productions and sets and have him on the mind. the only drawback is his being away touring. like he just got back from a two-week stint in australia yesterday, and heads off to tokyo in another two weeks.

How is it that any of you dispassionate pieces of shit feel comfortable generalizing about musicians? We're all perfect in our imperfections, we are the best in bed, and none of you boring twits know how to live.icon_twisted.gif

    I am the musician/painter/drawer/writer/daydreaming artist

with art comes passion and that passion is carried out in everything I do. And men are either frightful of that passion or they fall head over heels for it.

I'd say this passion stems from the same thing, my vulnerability to my environment, to the people around me, the things I have experienced in life and the things that I will experience in life.

I think anyone that can experience such passion, anyone that can so easily see things in the world thats not there, or escape by simply portraying mundane things as notes, or words on a page, or as splashes of paint on a canvas

are capable of feeling great pain and capable of feeling more lost than most people are capable of feeling and are just as capable of becomming bored with life as it is.

I wouldn't go as far to say that an artist is trouble, we're all different

but more so that some of us artist need a certain level of stability and gratification in our lives and without it then you may have trouble.

All artists are weird, abnormal, obnoxious, and just down right fucking assholes.
That said, there's no way in hell I'd date someone like myself. icon_biggrin.gif

They're usually either busy or broke, but it usually depends how far along they are in their career.

Personalities usually depend on the person.

oh and most of them don't watch t.v..

I'm almost always busy AND broke (try supporting 4 expensive hobbies + paying bills on a 2 br apt. lol).

My personality varies, but is generally chipper and fun-loving (so I've been told).

    What's a TV?

    ...hmmm...maybe I really am an artist. icon_lol.gif

Musicians are trouble, actors are emotional wreckage in motion, and models are boring psycho-narcissists. Naturally, there are exceptions, and they can be many things on top of these generalizations, but... they remain in many. And I'm one to talk, writers are also trouble: self-destructive, emotionally bipolar and often socially inept.

But hey, the arts keep it interesting, and so those involved in them are liable to be interesting, as well.

Regardless of 'trouble', it's bound to be quite an experience.
