I stopped buying CD's a long time ago. I move around a lot and got tired of hauling them from place to place. I just ripped all of them to MP3 and packed them away in boxes.

I stopped buying DVD's too. Blu-ray will eventually become the norm as prices of Blu-ray players and movies come down. Last time I checked, Blu-ray players are in the $150 range. Not bad.

*snorts* who the hell buys physical media these days? gawd, I had to recently go through the DVD collection with my ex and I'm picking out DVD's thinking WTF am I suppose to do with these?

I had all of them ripped and converted to be played over a macmini attached to the tv.. well.. he got the NAS in the divorce so I'm now back to horrible horrible horrible disgustingly antiquated physical media *shudders* I need to buy a new NAS *nods*

I don't, but I do sell them occasionally, so I know some people still buy them.

I buy CD's but only from the second hand stores. Not much of a music person but for a dollar or two I'll buy up and see what I find. I've picked up some great local Australian bands lately and some classics too (I'm looking at you Missy Elliot). Mostly it's really good but picking a CD on the basis of how fancy the cover is, is a little silly. Some music stores have albums on a USB drive now.

My work still flogs VHS tapes for $10!!!!!! Occasionally someone will buy one but geez. I still have to transfer mine to DVD.

If it's something I want to see in 1080p I will get the blu-ray from netflix. Torrents are sort of iffy. You get what you pay for.

Music I get by track from Amazon or other places on-line.
