I was given twelve muscle mags by a friend moving overseas. Like the pics but have no real interest in keeping them, thinking of selling them on ebay. Good idea?

This pic is not 1950s but I like the black and white...

This is a very good photograph, keep it.If you sell it, i'm sure some professional photographer or artist will see the beauty and worth and buy it.

Having been a collector for many years, I can tell you about the approximate worth of your magazines.

Depending on their condition, you might get as much as ten or twelve dollars for each. But condition is key. In mint condition, with no creases or tears on the front or back, you could get $15. And the more vintage they are, the better.

But don't get your hopes up. The market for physique magazines is generally poor.

There seem to be a lot of the vintage physique magazines on sale ranging from $10 to $25. I don't know if they're bought, but they seem to keep showing up again, so I do wonder if there is much of a market for them. Too bad there isn't a repository for them somewhere in the gay communities and that they could all be scanned and shown to us in the gay online clubs.

I find vintage (I mean eighties, generally) gay porn well horny for some reason. Usually American as erections on film were illegal in the UK until quite recently, believe it or not.

They generally have horny (albeit cheesy) storylines, often involving curious straight guys, which turns me on.

And often, no kissing. For some reason I can't stand kissing in porn. I like it to be animalistic and dirty. If I wanted to watch "Latter Days" I would.

The black and white pic is right horny by the way.

I've tried to recreate to 50's style bb'ing look, but so far haven't been able to find a fitness model or bb'er who can do a vacuum pose correctly. And admittedly, I can't either. That's some hard shit. icon_lol.gif

It's interesting when you see these on ebay and they have extremely high resolution scans of some of the pages...and you can literally see the semen stains on them.

Every few decades the "look" changes.
Back in the 50s and 60s it was black and white wearing a posing pouch, with normal guys, just big muscles.
70s and 80s was the hairy Castro clone with a moustache.
    90s and 2000s either a roided-out monster or a twink.
