So I have noticed that when two gay men are living together as friends or best friends, one guy is pretty masculine and the other is really feminine. Why is this?? Are any of you living in this situation??

Maybe it's so they're not always in competition with each other since they act completely different?

It's the secret gay conspiracy. Didn't you get the memo about this from headquarters?

I smell confirmation bias. Exact opposite experience with me.

Because one of them has to be the cook and house cleaner while the other one drinks beer and watches football or Nascar.

lol, It's just evidence that feminine and masculine gay men do in fact get along very well and make great friends. An example that no few of RJ could take to heart. icon_wink.gif

We're both "masculine". We're both gay. We both can "turn on the queen" in the appropriate context. We're platonic. We defy stereotypes.

No, I have NOT noticed this as a pattern. Have I seen it on occasion? Yes, but not as a rule.

This sounds suspiciously like the stereotypical presumption that asks of a gay couple: "Which of you is the wife, and which is the husband?"

NEITHER of us has to be the wife, or the fem. We can BOTH be the husband, or any mix or arrangement that pleases us. We are NOT trying to recreate the homelife we knew with our straight parents, or see on TV, but instead with 2 men substituting for Mom & Dad, or 2 women for that matter.

I am not living in that situation, would not live in that situation, and currently among the many gay couples we know, don't know anyone else who is.
