The first, second and third most important things you need to get into shape are knowledge, knowledge and knowledge. Then discipline, will power and self motivation. It is very hard to transfer these via internet...
The first thing I would suggest is that you write down what you eat for a week. It´s a real pain to do this, but, like with time management, we are very, very unrealistic about what we actually do/eat. this will give you a place to work from: most of the deal is diet, and most of diet is about knowledge and discipline, with money coming third.
When you have done this then you need to sit down and be very honest about what results you want: do you just want to feel better or do you want to feel better and also change your appearance in a specific way? If you can´t be honest about this then you won´t find a solution that you are happy with.
Then work out for yourself how much effort you are prepared to put in, and how much money and time you are willing to spend.
There are solutions for a wide range of answers that you could give to these questions, but we can´t find the right one until you write down what you are really after.
In the meantime walking is a very good form of exercise and even 30 minutes of brisk walking a day will be noticeable. If you reply to this with some answers email me so I know to look.
