are you afraid you'll get stabbed by a psycho lady? Cause they already caught her.

It could be that deep down inside, you know that they treat their employees like crap, but it's not as publicized as the way WalMart treats their employees. They're the same as any other large corporation.

While Walmart continues to devote resources to Corporate Social Responsibility issues (including diversity and supply chain related shortcomings), I consider where my money goes both before AND after I spend it.

The major shareholders of Walmart (the Walton family) are infamous supporters of right-wing neo-conservative groups and candidates who's values and actions are Fascist in their outcomes. Corporate
Social Responsibility efforts have the air of being done "because it's good business", and not "because it's the right thing to do".

I will not align myself with such an organization even if they manage to "put lipstick on the pig".

Tell me about it! And then to make things worse, one time my partner got side tracked by a giant, remote control T-Rex toy and just added to the chaos. lol

Sparkycat: You know, Target actually does have nice furniture pieces. They've always kind of surprised me.

I shop at Wal-Mart, however I do one day aspire to have enough economic independence so as to factor sociopolitical repercussions into my budgeting icon_biggrin.gif

I am also amazed that only Target seems to have bar code scanners all over the store.

I love Target, just returned from there. The cherry flavored market pantry water is delicious, and at just 69 cents a bottle I stock up every time I go. An added bonus is that there's an LA Fitness in the same shopping center, so there are often handsome men in workout clothes walking throughout the store.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidDon't know why you guys are bitchin' about it. There are three targets in inner-city Chicago with another large one about to open up down the street from me near the lake. It'll be right across the driveway from Aldi Grocery Store. Can't wait, it will be so close I can almost walk to it.

Generally buy my cleaning supplies, kitchen crap and like to browse the electronics at Target.

And yeah, the unruly kids running around are so annoying. I swear if I had kids I'd tape their mouths shut with gray tape and have them on tight leashes if they got out of line. It's always these lower income families with 5 or 6 kids so out of control. All these dedicated Hispanic Catholics who think condoms are a sin...thanks to your beloved pope. icon_exclaim.gificon_exclaim.gificon_exclaim.gificon_exclaim.gif

There's only one in Hollywood. It's ALWAYS insane. And parking is usually a nightmare.

A Wal-Mart obsession? No. I just need to go to Target to grab a few things, and would like to be in and out.... But that's impossible. Notice that I said, "need." As in, I STILL haven't gone. hahahahahahahaha

The West Hollywood Target is where all the gay boys go to buy sunscreen before heading out to the desert for the weekend. So many gay boys, in fact, that I bet some of them never make it out of town. It's a splendid place.

I love Target ... so much, in fact, that I have to find reasons not to go-to-there.
