What City/State*Country do you live in? If not a familiar place which major city is it close to.

Also where would you like to travel to?

So many times people don't travel whether for financial reason or simply just not sure how to even get started.

Maybe this thread may inspire some to and others to realize that there are great people all over and begin a dialogue. You never know......

    I'll start

*Live currently downtown Oakland close to San Francisco would love to travel to South Africa, Paris, New Orleans for now...

I live in the little tiny village of South Florida.
I would love to travel a whopping 30 minutes to South Beach tonight, but have to work tomorrow morning.

I'll be in South Beach for the first time next weekend. Looking forward to it. Been to FLL and MCO along with The Keys, though SOB should be cool.

    ;-)

Aguascalientes City in the state of the same name in central Mexico. While the city has a million inhabitants I guess the most known nearest biggest city is Guadalajara 300 kilometers away. On the other hand, the biggest fair in the country (San Marcos) just ended here but it had the city overflowed with tourists... nice a few weeks but gets old in the month it lasts.

And I am planning to travel to some beach... just don't know which yet!

    Hi, neighbor.
I live in San Francisco, California, U.S.A.

I would like to travel to Washington, D.C. to see the Holocaust Museum, the Vietnam Memorial, and the F.D.R. memorial.

I would also like to go back to New York State and drive around where I grew up, to see how things have changed.

I would love to see all the Mayan ruins, but I don't hike well...

Live in South Beach here and its been bad for my traveling. When I lived in other not-so-great places, my desire to travel was strong. Taking me to 47 countries. Now that I've settled in South Beach, I have little desire to leave. One of the downfalls of being so happy in the place you live. However, next trip will either be Central America or Sub-Saharan Africa(places I've yet to explore).

Perth Western Australia, the most isolated state capital city in the world. We're closer to Indonesia than we are to any other major Australian city!

Oh, and I want to see more of Canada, and Egypt, and the UAE and South America and and and..... icon_lol.gif

I currently reside in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk, VA. It's about 3 hours SE of Washington, DC. I'm dying to visit many places still, but Spain, Sydney, and Montreal are at the top of the list.

I live in Surrey, BC, which is a 40 minute LRT ride to Vancouver, BC.

I go there to Par-Tay as one would put it. There are a couple of gay bars there that cater to the different gay clientele:

PumpJacks: for the Leather and Denim dudes
the Fountainhead: for the ones who like to dine out
Numbers: has three levels, 2 for socializing(one with karaoke) and the third for dancing and shows
Celebrities: for the young and young at heart who like to dance the night away.
Odyssey: just like Celebrities but with Go-go boys
    The World: afterhours
There are a couple more that have recently popped up, but I don't know much about them.

All are non-smoking and have a security program in place with our police department (so as to deter "straight" trouble-makers).

I grew up on the farm in Indiana, went to college in Muncie at "the Harvard of the Midwest" - Ball State University, and have since lived in Philadelphia PA, San Bernardino CA, Villeurbanne FR, New York City NY, San Rafael CA, and now Orlando FL for the last twenty years.

I would live in France or New York City in a heartbeat.

Santa Cruz, CA (USA) is where I (fortunately) call home. LOVE it here - the climate is perfect and the terrain is great for cycling. I can ride for a whole day and not lose sight of the ocean. Well, maybe for a couple hours while I'm winding inland, but the majority of the ride is ocean views. We're close to San Jose, about 30 minutes away, and about 2 hours away from The City.

I'd love to travel to Europe. Spent most of my life working hard, be it in school or professionally, so I missed out on the whole "backpacking through Europe" phase of my life :-/
