    Hey guys,

I just started the INSANITY program by Shaun T. It's no joke; probably the hardest workout program you could find. I've completed my first couple workouts, and yes, they are truly insane.

Have any of you completed this program or are currently doing it? If so, what were your results like and could you offer any tips?

    Thanks!
    Nick

Its tough. Just wait till phase two. It gets real INSANE then.

A quote from the first workout of phase two "I'm about to work your butt out today, and I'm not playin" He wasn't.

Only thing to stay, is stick with it. Its tough. Probably should do some stretching on your own because it really does beat your body up.

it's much more intense. P90x is slow compared to Insanity. although P90x has better stretching.

I'm on my second week of insanity and i feel different already...like stronger and with a greater cardio resistance. I like it a lot, it pushes you to reach higher limits!

I did P90X and both are different. P90X involves more muscle work and lots of tools....in Insanity the tools are your legs, arms, heart, lungs and mind........

Loved P90X also, helped me create like a mold and give a better form to my bod. This will help me exceed my athletic performance and sculpt my body also..

Well, if that doesn't kill you, nothing will :-)

Does it really seem healthy to push yourself so hard? Moderate exercise is probably better in the long run.

    Don't be a wuss.

I've just started the second month of it, the "Max" workouts.

Holy hell, it's hard. It takes about 3 weeks or so for it to not suck as much. But, it hurts. I highly recommend it, but, you should probably have some sort of fitness foundation laid before starting it. Your pulse will be sky high. You WILL see results (as long as your diet is clean).

    Dig deep!

Dude...i have it and it is pretty intense. I'm in pretty good shape cardio wise but for those that aren't, take it slow and ease into it. As Shaun T says, it's the quality not quantity. You will notice the people in the dvd take a rest when they need to. My advice is prepare yourself mentally first and foremost before you do a work out, make sure you are hydrated and this ones very important...have a scoop of "Yammit" about 20-30 minutes before you do the work out, it will give you the necessary energy and have some sort of electrolyte drink on hand while doing the work out. Good luck!

Hmm, I just started this workout program today... the test at the beginning kicked my ASS... I can't imagine it getting any harder than that. I don't see any way around stopping the video at this point and taking longer breaks... I know it's not optimal, but until I build up some oomph, I'd rather not kill myself. I dunno... I might go back to Jillian Michaels 30 day shred (the first one). It wasn't as hard but still got my blood pumping.
