I bottom a lot and it seems that the ingredients in the lube that I use have changed causing a burn feeling inside my anus. I have tried different brands and water-based lube for years and always stick to water-based. Except that lately I have noticed that every time I use newest-purchased lubes the inside of my ass burns horribly.

***The ingredients have changed adding chemicals such as Benzoic Acid and Sodium Hydroxide. icon_eek.gif

Benzoic Acid uses are primarily in Feedstock and as Food Preservativeicon_eek.gif

Sodium Hydroxide uses are primarily in Soap Production, Oil Drilling (really?), Pulp Manufacturing, Biodiesel, Aluminum Etching, Cleaning Agent, Leaded Glass Window restoration, Paint, Tissue Digestion....icon_eek.gif

So what am I putting in my ass-hole that burns?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic, especially from bottoms who have used lubricants of such kind.

    Use Maxim or Liquid Silk.

Or test yourself for a latex allergy or STD's.

You might consider trying Probe. It's made of natural ingredients and doesn't contain any of those chemicals. Only drawback is that it dries up more quickly, so it may not be great for anal.

Trader Joes needs to market an organic and environmentally friendly lube...I swear it'd sell out.

I had that problem with Maxim myself. I only use silicone now.
