What's going on guys? I'm in Rhode Island and need to get my ass in shape, but I don't have a clue.

I went to the gym for about a year just doing some cardio and machines, but not really knowing what to do, for how long, etc. I had to stop because I hurt my back (not gym related) and haven't been back. This time I want to do it right. Hopefully someone local can help me out... I don't know what the hell to do and summer is almost here!!
