Both my late and present partners were Italians from the US Northeast. Didn't know that when I meet them, although I soon learned that the second one has a very Italian last name, a definite tip-off. I certainly didn't set out intending to partner with Italians, but neither were they crossed off my list. It just happened.
So do we gravitate to certain ethnic types? (And BTW, I lived in Germany for 2 years and have the greatest respect for Germans, a lovely people) Well, maybe we do, and what's wrong with that?
I tend to feel more comfortable with guys roughly my own age who are from the US Northeast. We simply speak the same "language" and there is an instant affinity between us, even when I don't initially know their backgrounds. Why shouldn't Germans be the same way for you? The important thing is that you do find guys you like -- let them be Germans or anything else, so long as it works for you both.
