Consider giving this not so good of carbohydrate UP......

How can I say this...one of the main reasons the P90X is so effective is because they offer a diet that is virtually free of BREAD!! >...Hmmmmicon_idea.gif

Mmm...any diet that restricts carbs concerns me.

I don't eat bread but have many other sources of complex carbs. I couldn't function without them. I am already regularly struggling for energy.

I was not saying cut carbs, but after doing some reading I found that bread, GLUTEN are not really that good for you. In fact some say they produce free radicals that damage cells.

    Banana's
    Apples,
ACAI Berry, and more are best for carbs now days right?

No, the ACAI berry is not a scam.

I do take it and it is rich in omeg fatty acids and other antioxidants. It was even proven to aid in some cancer victims...I mean read up a little more. It has some amazing properties.

Pomegranate concentrate is another highly effective juice

Whole wheat bread (not just plain wheat bread) is good for you.
I eat a couple slices almost every day, because I like having a peanut butter and jelly (low sugar Smucker's apricot jam) sandwich.
    MMMMMMMM...

I love bread and have taken to cutting out all "white breads"...it is a rough road and only eating Low GI, seed breads.
I miss my white bread with peanut butter though..seed bread and Peanut is not that great to be honest.

But it is all for a good cause.
My company has an award ceremony in July and it coincides with my birthday...I want to look smoking HOT.

There are many schools of thought, and evidence to back them.

I agree. I could never totally knock it out of my diet. Cut way back, don't eat it at night (mostly), and aim for whole grains when possible. I just like it way too much, and I want a balance between health and happiness. I would be unhappy if I completely gave up all breads and pastas. I am half Italian, after all.

I polish off a basket of bread even before my meal gets to the table! I love bread so much, I just took an artisan bread baking class and can now make french baguettes, pumpernickel bread, challah and sourdough. I don't deny myself of any foods that I love.

Bread is one of the only things that fills me up. If I try to cut out bread I just end up eating way too much of everything else. People have been eating bread for a very, very long time.

Because I like it. I don't give a damn about it bulking me up.

12 grain bread is the way to go. The next best thing invented after the ipod and Häagen-Dazs crème brulée or vanilla ice cream.

I eat it, 12 grain, 15 grain, whole wheat, and Bulgar Wheat.

I stay away from the white crap as much as possible, often order my burgers wo bun, so as to not be tempted. Drives my not-so-fit friends crazy. LOL

Pasta - Organic Whole Wheat only.

I avoid wheat, corn, rice, sugar and starchy veggies. Lots of raw green vegetables and fatty animal meat. Keeps me lean year-round.

Having spent a part of my childhood in Spain, bread is pretty much served with every meal. I can't imagine cutting out bread from my diet. I'd give up meat and dairy before bread.

I hear you. But do you miss it? Do you get crazy tempted if the server at a restaurant puts a basket of warm bread on the table? Just wondering to what extent you go to for your year-round lean body.

Can I go without it in my diet? Definitely.

Do I have any plans to omit it anytime soon? NO way.
