What's your sex / relationship history with women? and how did you behave towards your guy friends when you were in the closet?

This is part of my curiosity towards guys in the closet. I'm curious to know if we can find a pattern. Maybe this can help us improve our 'gaydar'.

As for myself, I've had two girlfriends (for about 1 year altogether) which I had a normal sex life with until I couldn't get an erection anymore. But I always dated, fooled around and kissed girls (no sex) until I finally came out at age 25.

As for my guy friends, I always lied and pretended about girls just to get off the 'pussy' pressure.

    What's your story?

I think "pussypressure" should be in the dictionary.

Personally I knew I was gay early on, but like many I pushed that way down and put my focus into everything else that I could, and for a while was able to "forget" that part of myself. I shied away from dating girls other than when needing a date for a dance, and a short two weeks in college after being pressured by my fraternity brothers. I think on some level I knew I could never truly give myself to a woman, and felt it would be unfair to try. I've only really made out with a handful of girls ever. Not that I find women disgusting, just doesn't work for me.

For me, I think having all of that time being celebate gave me time to discover what I wanted in a partner separate from the sex part.

    RudeMech,

Interesting point about being "celibate". The samething happened to me for years.. I just wouldn't have sex with anybody until I finally came out. But this only left me more frustrated.

When I finally had sex with a guy, I became sort of slutty. I overcompensated.. =)

I actually have much better sex and get way sexier women now that I'm honest about how I am. I don't mess around with women very often though.

I knew I was bisexual in high school and dated mostly girls. I still liked women for sex and get aroused by sexy women, but hot guys also get me horny, too.

When I was in the closet I managed to have good sex with one of my girlfriends, even though it was a bit mechanic. Eventually it faded and now I'm 100% gay.

That certainly resonates. I had ED problems with girlfriends and my wife. Although, to tell the truth, I've also had problems with men, so it may be more my own discomfort with sex than a gay/straight issue.

just interested: if you're now out of the closet, why don't you have anything in your profile, and why no pix, even though you've been on real jock for a while? even i try to be pretty forthcoming, although i keep my face pix private.

I couldn't really tell I was attracted to the same sex until mid to late high school. My first and biggest crush was on a girl in intermediate school and my attraction swung so slowly over from mostly women to mostly men that I couldn't tell why most high school chicks were unattractive until it hit me in 10th grade. It was surprising to realize but I just took it in stride. After all, I was still the same me as I was before I came to that realization so it didn't really matter.

I did date a girl in 9th grade though. It didn't get sexual and I didn't pretend to want it to but that's what made me consider my attractions.

laxdude25, you like them closet fellas huh? =) but hey, don't try to smoke me out, you know how it goes. When I'm comfortable enough, I'll put up a decent profile.

liwriter, same here, hence I'm a bottom..! I feel that guys who are tops stay in the closet longer since they can manage to get a hardon and have sex with girls..

i was never really into girls but i dated a few, and had sex with a couple.
but i had sex after i came out , not before.
as gay sex was experienced quite early.. hmm can't remember when exactly but it wasn't that long after i noticed there was life down there.
i don't do women anymore but i still watch straight porn at times..

I didnt hook up with a lot of girls. I would try to do the straight thing. For the girls i did hook up with it was a lot of kissing and petting. Not much sex. In fact very very little sex. As for my guy friends, I just acted normal. Nothing has changed even now that they know im gay.
