Oh my God! The same thing happened to my cousin's neighbor's barber! He was working out and he started to get pain in his nipple so he went to the doctor and it turned out that it was nipple cancer! Unfortunately they did not catch it in time and there was nothing they could do about it. He died less than six weeks later. So sad. icon_sad.gif

Go to your doctor tomorrow and tell them you want to be checked for nipple cancer. Always better to be safe than sorry!

    Stop lifting for a while.

In the meanwhile rub a little lotion on your nips.

Honestly it sounds like a textbook example of gynecomastia or in generic terms "gyno". Are you taking pro-hormones or anything that would cause your estrogen to spike? Sometimes having a high amount of estrogen can occur naturally.

Are the nipples puffy or lumpy at all? That would be just another indication of gyno.

There are a number of different things you can take for gyno, some over the counter like Reversitol.

I would assume it's something to do with a high level of estrogen. That's a sure fire way to have sore, or sensitive nipples. Try taking a look into any odd foods you eat, or medications you use (I know weed increases estrogen) to see if they can have that effect.

Lol, well i dont think its estrogen cuz im not takin steroids, but i also realized i had this painful rash come out in my armpits now....its really random, cuz my nipples dont hurt anymore, just my pits.

I think im gonna go with the pulled muscle theory....seems the most legit. Cuz that would make sense for it to be in different areas of my pecs or the other muscles that help to do chest exercises.

funny! nothing like a bit of serial killer humour in relation to sore nipples!

are you perhaps dragging the barbell down your chest ever so slightly when you're lifting? i used to do that. the friction made my nipples red raw! ouchy!

What shirt were you wearing? Seems like the only time my nips get a little sensitive is when I'm wearing a shirt that rubs the wrong way. Since chest would have material stretching and rubbing, could be that. (I only have that problem after cardio, though.) Doesn't seem like lifting would create enough repeated friction.

Are you pumpin' your butt with hormones? Dunno why nipple sensitivity would show up during a chest workout, but the sensitivity in general would be a sign you're carrying too much estrogen from testosterone breakdown in your body—gyno, baby. Get some anti-estrogen, like 6-oxo or Novodex and see if that helps. Or hope your doctor's open-minded enough not to give you shit for it and go ask him/her.

What other stuff are you doing at the gym?? I was doing bicep curls where my chest is pressed against the top of the pads. I had nipple pain and swelling and ended up having 2 mamograms and an ultrasound. . ya. . . mamograms. . . nurses laughed both times pushing me into the machine. . . . come to find out it was just a bruised and sore gland. Had nothing to do with chest excersises but just from where my nips were being pressed against doing other exercises.
