Iowa is in the heart of the corn belt. For the most part, if the landscape isn't an endless sea of corn, it's an endless sea of soybeans. We rent 70 acres to an organic farmer who grows hay, which is the green stuff growing out in the distance, on the far side of the pond.

Spectacular view you have there in Cape Town. A quick Google search says that's Devil's Peak and Table Mountain in the background.

May explain some of the statements I made in the past...

Kidding, nothing much to look at through my window, but we do have a lovely park a few minutes away, I often go there...

I'm looking at the parking lot and back of a real estate office and the roof of the Armenian Orthodox Church that is next to the gas station on the corner.

Just bought this condo when I moved here from NorCal - so I'm using the Realtor's view pic from the brochure. I have a typical condo "city view" near Westwood on Wilshire - looking out over other buildings - no ocean view though!. The place is becoming 'home'.

One of my absolute favorite views isn't outside my window, it's usually next to me.

    "Is this heaven ?"
    "No, it's Iowa."
Ray Liotta and Kevin Costner in, "Field of Dreams

I grew up living on 190 acres.
I couldn't wait to get away from there.
Now, I'd kill for just 1 acre of land.
If it wasn't for the 6 months of Winter, I'd go back there (NY State).
