Last time hockey was semi-popular here in LA was when Gretzky was with the Kings. Other than that, LA is pretty much into basketball.

Yup, I'm sure the city is pretty ecstatic tonight about the big 'W' haha. Was looking pretty bad for you guys for a bit there, Flyers were all over you the first couple games. Gotta say though I want to see Flyers vs San Jose for the cup. We'll see!

    Flyers....boooooo
Right now you can really see the difference when the team plays at home
I think we have some good chances for saturday's game too then its back in Philly.
But I mean I dont really understand why San Jose has a good team if no one watches hockey in California.
p.s. The city here is really that crazy about hockey....when we won against pittsburgh, people were going crazy,60 people got arrested, fires, people stealing in shops, etc.

Huge Sharks fan, and even though I just moved from the S.J. area, and even though they've had a bit of a streak of bad luck, they're still my team!

I used to be a huge Rangers fan, but more recently have been more focused on college hockey. The bean pot tourney in Boston offers college hockey at its best.

I'm a Devils fan, but they got their asses whipped. I'm pulling for the Sharks now.

It's NBA season currently and I am a HUGE Lakers fan....the team everyone loves to hate. That being said, I hope we meet the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals and repeat as champions. Yeah, that would be nice.

hockey was a cult sport in chicago, about 15,000 diehards, and people would look at you like you were talking about cricket or something when you said something about hockey. but lately the town is abuzzz because of the hot blackhawks!

i've been a fan for years but it's funny now to see people walking around all over town wearing blackhawks sweaters. the more the merrier, i say.

[they've got some really cute players, too - toews, hjalmarrsson, kopetsky, hossa, etc. - excuse the misspelled names]

Never cared one way or another for the Flyers, but as a Wings fan, will not be happy with the 'hawks taking the Cup, so go Philly.

Also, do I need to mention the Hossa curse?
