You must learn how to cook properly. There is absolutely no other way to eat well on a low budget. Make your own food as the normal thing you do. Eat out only rarely.

Then you must learn how to shop well... The two are related.

I love to cook but I hate washing dishes by hand all the time.I don't believe
in paper plates at all.I'm gonna make sure my next rental home comes
with a dish washer that way I don't have wash dishes by hand all the time.I
am not lazy I just got better things & more important things to do in life.i
would rather doyard work, clean my bedroom, clean my living room or
do laundry wash windows than do wash dishes any day.my relatives
think i don't need a dish washer because i'm single & live by myself.
which is not true at all.i believe that my home life would be lesss stressful if
i lived in a rental house with a dish washer,my own private yard,my own
private laundry room instead of living in an apartment building.there's not
enough privacy in apartments for me at all.

Go to nutritiondata.com and search on a food you want to know about. It will give you the nutritional info on that food. But one feature that I think is really neat, esp. for a vegetarian, is the link to "Find Foods with Complementary Profile" ...that is, foods that will complete the amino acid profile of that food item.

I also have depression & ADHD. True, you can't snap out of depression, but no one else can snap you out of it either. You have to want to overcome it and be patient. The depression also keep me in check so I don't get "too" cocky as the workouts work their magic on my increasingly hotter body. Oops that sounded cocky.
As for the ADHD, well, I enjoy it. I refuse to take meds. It's a fun excuse to tune out boring shit and focus on what makes me happy. ie. Working out and groping hot guys.

    I LOL @ "ADD"

ADD is our society's medical diagnosis on what would otherwise be known as "creativity" and "imagination".

The greatest minds in history were either ADD, OCD, or some other kind of "abnormal". True story.

I bet your creativity went up, too.
I think the meds kill most of the creativity. They did with me anyway. Society wants to see art, but not the artist. Fuck'em. They're gonna see me whether they like it or not. They can shove their meds up their asses. icon_biggrin.gif

Make your own natural food and don't eat all the prepared packaged foods loaded with fat, salt, and preservatives.

being a vegetarian is far cheaper than eating meat. buy fruits and vegetables you like, protein-rich foods (skim milk, cheeses, cottage cheese, eggs, tofu, etc...), nuts and legumes, and make sure you're grains are whole grains. whether you eat meat or not, you should always watch your intake of carbs, fats, and protein. I am a vegetarian and I eat 8 meals a day, prepare them all myself, and don't spend more than 50 dollars a week on groceries.

i'm not good at math at all.i don't know much about gardening at all.i need
to find myself some local gay single men who are vegetarians like i am
with better math skills & better grocery shopping skills than me to go
grocery shopping with.how can i find some and what should i look under
for them online?meat eaters can't meet my own grocery shopping needs
at all.they are not experts on vegetarianism, vegeraian diets, and vegetarian
lifestyles at all.they don't know what's like to be a vegetarian at all.that's
why i don't go grocery with my local relatives any more at all.none of them
are vegetarians at all.they are not willing to make any vegan/vegetarian
foods for me to eat when i vist them.which pisses me off alot.so it's hard
to eat healthy when i'm around my relatives.they are not healthy eaters
like i am.does anybody have that problem with their meat eating relatives
or not?what should i do about it?

you should stop complaining and stop thinking a miracle will just fall into your lap is what you should do. so what if you suck at math. bring a calculator to the grocery store and add up everything yourself. you think you're magically going to find a guy on here who lives by you, is a vegetarian, and is willing to go shopping with you all the time and cook for you (on top of him having to be single)? you're living a pipe dream. take your life into your own hands and stop depending on others. plenty of people have given you good advice in the forums; you don't have to listen, but you have to stop complaining if you choose not to follow it.

I think you need a support system. If you don't already have a social worker/case worker through the Department of Human Services you should contact them. If you are not receiving food stamps, you should apply. If you qualify that might help you buy good, healthy food. Also, contact human services agencies such as Goodwill Industries or any other agency that can offer support in learning skills to help you live independently, such as grocery shopping and budget management. This might take some phone calls and detective work on your part, but I think you will end up hooking up with a human services agency which can assign a case worker to work with you one-on-one to develop the life skills you need.

Exercise helps with depression,it's been suggested outdoor exercise is even better.
