Another Sex Scandal in South Carolina?

First their Republican Governor Mark Sanford sneaks away to Argentina to be with his mistress for nearly a week, leaving others in the state to go on a wild goose chase trying to locate him on a non-existant Appalachian hike. Naturally the state Republican legislature refused to punish him for it, effectively just putting a letter of reprimand in his personnel file.

Now a Republican legislator running for Sanford's job may have her own sex scandal to deal with. Yes, this time a woman, and endorsed by Sarah Palin over her primary election rivals.

But it's early in this story, the charges against her by the man she cheated with (at least not another woman - WHEW!) may ultimately prove to be false. After all, the man was Gov. Sanford's former press secretary, so naturally his credibility will be suspect. A story to watch in the days ahead.

Why am I not shocked or surprised by these latest events from good ol' South Carolina. Because of the endless hypocrisy of all these conservative, right wing lunatics with all their old time religion but yet have an endless number of skeletons in their closets. Another bunch of right wing holy rollers on the down low and under investigation, go figure.
