Chain Drive...don't worry...the live music nights aren't as sketch.

Anyway NickyClick is playing tonight (Thu., 1/31)...doors open at 9pm.

Show up, will ya? I want to see if you're real like your profile or if you're full of it. ;-)

OK really I want a bunch of guys there who'll have my back so I don't get beat up by a lesbian.

    Cheers!

P.S.: Anyone else organizing meetups in their city/region?

Oh come on. Just buy the lesbian another coors long neck, and she'll be your friend for the evening. If you promised to sing Material Girl in a salute to the 80's....we'd pay money to see that.

They don't make battery operated Coors longnecks. ;-)

I somehow doubt you'd have any trouble defending yourself from a group of sloshed lesbians. If they put you on a table and ask you to dance...just roll with it. You can pick up some extra $$ that way.
I hope you have fun tonight. Going out on a weeknight???? Good god I've gotten old. I have to be in jammies and Maxine slippers by 9:30.

What time. Going to El Chile for dinner with my sis and then, hopefully the gym.

My work clothes are not exactly Chain Drive attire, so I'll need a outfit change.

DHKansas...already laid the groundwork for a late work arrival tomorrow. My hours are rather fluid.

DJBens77...no you probably don't need to change. It won't be the usual scene.

Doors open at 9, but there's an opening band.

El Chile is a great place! I'm gonna go to Homeslice myself.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Years ago, I was playing pinball with two lesbians in a bar near a military base. I drunkenly told them, "The only way you're gonna win this game is if I let you add your weight to your score." I instantly landed on the floor with a beer poured in my face.

Damnit Chad, I was waiting all night for you and you never showed. Stood up again.

Anyway, Austin was well represented last night with Rugger, Fuzzers and I (sounds like the beiging of a Jim Henson movie) enduring some entertainingly interesting performance art, a pretty decent band and a amateur at best game of pool. Good fun and brews were had by all.

Hope to do it again. Thanks for arranging Rugger.

Well last night's impromptu RJ meetup was...interesting. But fun. It was great to see fuzzers, djbens77, danielqq, and a couple of fun non-RJers there. Not a bad turnout for just a few hours notice and on a school night.

Sure, the entertainment was an unmitigated train wreck...I think I heard someone in the crowd scream "We Love You Britney!". It's hard to believe her show was listed on the "Music Recommended" page of last week's Austin Chronicle. But the crowd was a good mix of interesting folks and the headlining band actually wasn't that bad. A bare-bones rock show in a gay bar is quite a novelty.

I came somewhat close to getting beat up by a lesbian as well. Phew! ;-)

Thanks for coming out Austin RJers. Let's do another one in a month (with more lead time).

    Cheers!

I think informal events like this are great. I just wish this one was a little closer, it would be great to attend.

    Maybe next time icon_biggrin.gif

You city people suck. If we wanted to have an RJ meetup here (all three or four of us), half of us would have to drive at least three hours to get wherever we decided to meet.

Ruggers that was me. On a dare from your friend.

You had to be there to understand this overweight girl in a bra and panties and fishnets screaming over her tracks with a bunch of punk lesbians watching in awe.

It was classic. And so much fun. Hope we don't have to wait a whole month.

    I can't believe I missed that meeting.

Next time you host one, definately fill me in. Last thursday I was in N.B. -- 30 mintues from Austin.

Perhaps we can organize something for Valentine's - - for the guys who don't have lovers or BF's...it sucks being single YET AGAIN this Valentine's season... icon_sad.gif

I'm due for a trip up to party city. Shoot, I'll reserve a fucking hotel room if I have to. Spend all weekend just relaxing!

But, as of Wed this week...I will be celibate... Ahhh!! Yes, my body will no longer be my amusement park for 40 days... It will become a strict temple of fastings, workouts and relaxations. Eh, I have no conplaints.

LOL! omg the other day I drove to chik-fil-a, real excited about the meal i was about to enjoy... somehow, the fact that there were NO cars in the parking lot didn't really catch my attention. I proceeded to park, get off the car, walk all the way to the door, and even tried to open it before I realized it was closed

..i was VERY disappointed, and embarrassed at the same time, lol.

Up here in the Mid West, we didn't have Chik-Fil-A before. One did open not long ago, so I decide to see what all the orgasmic screaming over their chicken was about. Unfortunately, I went on Sunday, and it was closed. WTF?

I hope XRuggerATX didn't get into any lesbian skirmishes during his night out on the town. He may have a hello kitty bandage on now...we'll never know. Sounds like you guys had fun.

I wish I had already joined RJ when I was in Austin in November. It would have been awesome to meet some of you guys.
