Well according to reports from her camp....."too many commitments!"

But according to many......no ticket sales.

    Poor Christina!

    That's too bad.

I would love to go to a performance of hers. Not so much to see her but to "hear" her in person. She is one of a handful that has made me stop dead in my tracks just to listen.

I, how can I say this.......go back and forth with her. Actually, it would be more accurate to say....I "flip-flop" when it comes to her music. I loved "Back to Basics"...but basically...hate all the "Super bitch" type stuff. I heard her follow up single to "Not Myself Tonight" and think it is dreadful. I do not have high hopes for her CD "Bionic".

Yes, I agree with you Silver, no flip flopping here.

It's her voice I crave singing the tunes I like. I have to admit, I don't care for the high energy shit she does but this woman can sing a powerfully, sensitive ballad.

The Bionic album just leaked and here's a snippet from a comment I laughed at.

    "OH NO SHE FUCKING DIDNT....

    Vanity at 4:12

"Let us not forget..who owns the throne."

Her kids voice: "You do Mommy."

What a low blow. After her "personal" written statement regarding pop artists (mostly Gaga) and copying and respect towards each other....and then she drops THIS at literally the last 6 secs of her album? AND she throws her kid into the flame? Straight up, the bitch lied to all her fans.

I am not happy with Xtina....at all. I just lost major respect for the bitch.

Oh...and when did she EVER have the throne? That's right. Never. First, there was Madonna. She turned into a man so Britney took the throne. Britney went crazy and Xtina spread her legs open. The throne went empty for a bit of time. Then came Gaga and she has had the throne for the past 3 years.

-Click, drag to trash can, confirm deletion-"

Apparently Gaga fans don't care for her album either. lol

I've heard the entire album and the slow songs are some of the most gorgeous songs I have ever heard. She really went all out with this one.

And as far as the tour is concerned, with the proximity of the album release it just seems a bit rushed. I understand why she'd want to postpone it. She's notorious for being a perfectionist and I'm sure she just wants adequate time to be able to put together a show that's worthy of her name.

AMEN! I looooooved the route she was taking with Back To Basics, wish she would have kept on the road to refreshment of classic styles, it was so unique... now with Bionic it seems to me that she's trying to create this image of "super bitch" akin to Madonna or something.... NEWS FLASH: Madonna is The Bitch, trying to emulate that without a real fire behind it is going to make you look dumb. Someone needs to switch labels, get new image consultants or something...

These Gaga fans need to get over themselves and their idol. They're as painfully ignorant as the Bible-humping gay-bashers. They let someone else form their opinion, suck up whatever information matches this point of view and ignore everything else.

I appreciate Christina for her unbelievable talent and that's it. I have yet to see Lady Gaga pull out anything as artistic and sensitive as Christina did on "All I Need," "You Lost Me" or "Lift Me Up" on Bionic.

Here we go again with blogger-coined terms. I'd love for these fools to actually listen to the music before labeling it a "flop."

Christina IS the voice of our generation.
The tour is POSTPONED. It is NOT cancelled. I agree that it is rushed. If you go to her website www.christinaaguilera.com, there is a massive load going on. There would be no time for adequite choreography, nor proper show planning. I was sad about this, but I had aleady ordered my ticket, and I was sent an email stating that I needed to save it for a later date.
I'm upset, but I have faith in this woman.
    Give her a break.
She has a movie coming out.
She's currently Stephen Webster's muse (new collection)
She has to manage Christina Aguilera perfumes.
She's in the process of a divorce. (yes, she is)
    She's raising a child.
    She is filming music video's.
She has a new album coming out.
    She has scheduled preforomances.
    etc.
She is a busy busy woman.

As for you Sliverfox....you are just awfull...
If you were a fan, you'd support everything she does. I respect her for trying. She didn't want the album to sound like every other dance anthem. (it doesn't) If you don't like Christina, then find something else to do with your time. When you have 3 #1's, multi grammy's, and a voice that can kill, come back and talk.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidI think she has a tremendous voice. However I don't like her latest album.

Do any of you think she's trying to be like Madonna they way she continually changes her looks? Nothing really is original anymore.

And as far as I'm concerned you'd have to pay ME to go to a concert to hear her sing teeny bopper songs about her vagina.

C'mon, Chrissy! Get it together and get some class.....

and don't come back till you do!

No one is going to pay you anything. It would be a priviledge to even remotely hear Christina's voice, regardless of what she is singing.

I have her new album. I like the direction she took. She worked with great artists known in the electro/synth/pop genre. Her album is wonderfully diverse and features "classic" ballads and songs with more electronic/synth edge (which I like more) icon_biggrin.gif

Has anyone listened to WooHoo? It's like the sequel to Dirrty, quite raunchy. All about eating tacos. I can't believe she's a mother.

The sequel to "Dirrty" was "Sill Dirrty" ..track 11 off of Back To Basics album

Well, I'm not surprised at all. I just downloaded Bionic (it leaked yesterday) and it's a BIG letdown. It is NOTHING compared to Stripped. It makes me sad because I was really expecting it to be off the chain! icon_cry.gif

    Note from the Op:

Well I don't think you are awful guy! I just have my opinion and I like to express. Something that you may not have picked up on from what I was saying....I think she is better than the material she has put out there recently. "Back to Basics" was one of the most interesting concept albums of that year imho. I just think recent music has been going backwards...it would have been interesting if she would have explored and shared some of her recent experiences (that you touched on in your post) in her music....but she chose (and I have listened to the new CD) to basically fall the way of so many other maturing female performers- thinking that keeping "relevant" to kids sells music...and appears to be a miscalculation in this situation

I got to listen to Bionic last night.
The uptempo much-hyped "futuristic" tracks are dreck. Anyone could have recorded them.

But the second half of the CD goes into Linda Perry/Sia written ballads that are GORGEOUS. Her voice! OMG. Christina is suffering the same malady as Mariah Carey...trying too hard to be edgy/sexy/popular instead of just "doing the damn thing." And then after the ballads are a couple of tossed off upbeat tracks that are kinda fun and make use of Christina's girl power philosophy.

I'm actually enjoying Kelis' Flesh Tones CD far more. Now that was some funky future dance music.

Again - she could have easily looked at Janet Jackson's career trajectory since she abandoned making great music for the thankless art of singing about her cunt.

I'll download the good stuff and ignore the rest.

And fan or not, face it - the tour is off because tickets weren't selling. She and her many handlers/managers/label knew what her 'commitments' were before and after the tour was announced. That large group of people didn't suddenly say "No, this is too much!" They said "Shit, nobody's buying tickets."

Doesn't make her less of a talent, I think it just sends her a message that if the music she records is shit, people won't pay to hear it live. Either she'll get that message and come back stronger, or she and Janet can open up a strip joint.
