You need to figure out how to structure your diet in a way that you don't feel denied or constantly suppressing cravings. You only set yourself up for binges and potential self-negativity.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidPopcorn really is no big deal so long as you didn't have it slathered with gobs and gobs of that awful butter product.

Did you have it with butter....? BUTTAHH!!

Popcorn is such a light low calorie food by itself.

The soft drink I would have avoided, even diet. I would have simply opted for water.

Just do an extra HIIT cardio session this week.

Or have loads of mattress hockey (sex) with that special someone. Or find some unsuspecting victim. icon_razz.gif

The second option will help you burn more calories AND you get to be in touch with your inner whore slut. How can anyone go wrong with that? icon_lol.gif

    are we taking volunteers?

Don't beat yourself up. I discovered that there's no such thing as "perfect eating" (Bill Phillips). Dust yourself back off, get back on the sadle and ride again.icon_idea.gif

Last time I had pop corn was almost 6 months ago and felt the same way next day, but did extra cardio next week and it all turned out fine.
Also after eating a large popcorn with a large drink, my lips cracked bad with all the salt. No amount of chapstick could make them feel better for quite some time.

to avoid over eating at the movies i order a small popcorn. i bring my own water and i get about (2) cup full of soy nuts (they are my new favorite snack). they pack only 127 calories per cup and they have 11g of protein per cup. this helps me maintain my constant snacking through out watching the movie and have my small popcorn...and no matter what i never get the large popcorn....no matter what "deal " they have or how much better of a value it is. hopes this helps

Feeling much better today after I got my workout done, less guilty. Hopefully the theatre air-poped the popcorn to save money on butter/oil (thank god there was no butter added on top). But yeah, can't remember the last time I had popcorn in theater, and probably won't be having them for a VERY LONG time again @@

Move on at this point. You're worrying more about it than the action deserves. If it bothers you, pass on it next time. However, there is something to doing something fun on an occasional basis.

Popcorn is one of my major vices too so just try to order a small and skip the butter if you can.

I wouldn't worry too much man, your body looks slammin'.

Just make every Tuesday your cheat day. Give in to temptation every once in a while...life's too short to be deprived of all the goodies out there icon_biggrin.gif

Define Acceptable Cheats. If I do this, then I can have that. Then when the opportunity arises ask yourself “Have a met this goal/target”

Mine is: “Did I miss any gym sessions/Reps or Sets in last 7 days”
Often I will self sabotage, so that the answer is NO. Therefore I can’t have “x”

    Works like a CHARM!

the term "cutting phase" is so misused and overabused in the gym. Most of the time it's all talk.

But, back to you. Don't fret over it. One lapse won't make you gain. Just keep it to one lapse.

Might want to change your emotional approach towards it. See it more as a treat you've given yourself for being so good the rest of the days. Don't attach negative emotion to food.

Don't act like such a girl....LOL. Most reputable work out programs advocate either a cheat day or 'spike' meal through out the week. If you're a serious work out freak...read up about it and how it positively affects your metabolism :-)
