Honestly, I feel bad for Finn. First his gf gets knocked up by his best friend, then a gay kid who has a crush on him encourages his dad to go after Finn's mom in the hopes of getting closer to him, knowing he's straight and not interested in being more than friends. I don't blame him for lashing out.

I don't see Finns situation at all. He didn't really force the mum and dad to like each other, and I think he's over his thing with Finn. Especially after that last turn of events. Plus, Finns been kind of a pussy this whole time, as the poor kid struggles to jsut be accepted by him, not even get Finn to love him.

He's had a crush on Finn for a long time, and Finn's been his friend but this last episode was just pushing it too far, imo.

I agree, this was a really great speech.

I do see Timberoo's point though. Kurt did want something more than friendship with Fin for a very long time, and was very obvious about it. Fin may have over reacted, but he's only human.

However, the over reaction provided the opportunity for the writers to include this well constructed speech that drives home some important points.

I thought the episode was mehhhh until that part. It got my 100 percent attention and it was excellently written. One reason I love this show is how much I can relate to it.

if it helps any, now Kurt can finally get that boyfriend and be the power couple that takes over the school socially. (it was forecast to us in the spoilers about the 2nd half of the season)

hopefully Kurt apologizes to Finn for making him endure that speech. As effective as it is, there was bits of information being left out to Burt.

That scene gave me a bit of a lump in my throat. What makes it all the more better is that i had NO CLUE that the actor who plays Kurt's dad could actually act.

The best scene of the episode....followed by Finn in a red dress.

The whole Rachel's mom thing seemed a bit hastily done...they could have gotten a few more episodes out of that story line and given it some meat. But then again, the show's been renewed for a second and third season so they could be saving it.

I just may have to start watching GLEE if it includes dialogue like this. I agree, probably one of the best pieces of writing involving this issue.

That father, didn't he play on some other sitcom, like King of Queens or something?

I'm totally with Timberoo on this one. Kurt was way out of line and pushy towards Finn. Plus the room was totally 100% over the top gay. Finn acted like any teenager would. It was a put together room, but not a teenage boy's room. What made it worse for me was that Kurt made Finn feel like the bad guy in class. Kurt should have been the one apologizing, period.

I applaud the speech that the dad gave, but the context of it was not justified toward Finn (imho) icon_neutral.gif

Eh it's ok, but this scene is something that would have meant something to me if it were 1998, not 2010. The place was really faggy.

I agree it was a moving scene, but I don't like how Kurt is portrayed in this gay hunter of straight men... he comes off like how the people who say gays in the military will act if DADT is repealed

This episode was beyond 'meh,' it was just dreadful! icon_evil.gif Music, costumes, plot- this was the only redeeming moment. icon_razz.gif

He came out in "Yes Dear"...you're thinking of Kevin James icon_cool.gif

anywho, it was a nice touchy speech, but nothing that awed me...it was just your typical dad trying to protect his son icon_smile.gif....

Loved that part. Although I gotta say.... Glee has been going downhill.

I do appreciate the fact they are taking time to delve into various characters lives and problems.... but it is kind of boring. The past couple episodes have been some of my least favorite.

Bad Romance could have been done so much better. The Poker Face duet was much better IMO!
