Eat your own cooking and you'll know if it's good or not.

Any recipe is just a guideline not a bible. but certain things and natural flavor. Are you using real crab or imitation? How is your garlic cut? and lastly butter or olive oil? Kosher slat and course blk pepper wrk best. Do you have any fresh herbs? Basil, cilantro or Italian parsley? Taste add fix as you go it's a learning process.

Do you taste what you are making as you go?

That's usually a good indicator of whether it's something you want to eat or not (and a great time to catch simple mistakes and fix them).

and far as cooking for other people, Only thing id have worried about is a shellfish allergy. Ppl with allergies have it rough. Everyone else? Eat what I make or don't. The effort was put in, and that's about all one can do.

So tell us, if not here then make a new thread, about your iPad. I'm dying to hear! I managed to get my partner to use an iPad here today, at a nearby Apple store, though I wasn't with him. A complicated story, and I haven't used one yet myself.

So tell us already! What do you think?

i'm guessing with the crab you had a decent un-oaked chardonnay or a sauvignon blanc...

in cases like this i just make sure my guests drink plenty before you serve them the food. it works for music and i'm sure it works for cooking: the more you drink, the better it tastes.

wine is best for this kind of thing, btw.
