Not earth-shattering news, but mentioned as a courtesy to RJ members, along with the reason.

I joined another gay social site the other day, and in selecting my account name I asked myself if Red_Vespa was still viable. My failing health prevents me from riding my scooter much anymore, even though I still own it. Whereas I live in Wilton Manors, Florida (I usually say Fort Lauderdale because it's next door and people around the world know it), and I spend much of my time on Wilton Drive -- hence Wilton. Nor do I use a red Vespa pic here anymore.

No desire to hide my identity or confuse people, but I like all my online accounts to carry the same or similar name (on another site I had to select Wiltonian -- all these gays from Wilton Manors have the same idea). But my main pic will stay unchanged for the time being, so you know it's me. Thanks for your understanding.

No difference, except one of identification. And yeah, it's me... does anyone else here write such verbose posts? icon_redface.gif

just as long as you keep posting here with your accurate, common sense, "real world" advice and observations; you can use what ever username your heart desires.

P.S. since you and/or your man are not riding the red vespa anymore (no sexual pun intended!)....how about donating it to a cash flow deprived civil service sufferer? it would be just the right thing for transportaion in the french quarter of new orleans and in my adjoining residential area of marigny-bywater!! parking can be a bitch around here all too often.

Is it sad that I remember that old comic routine from the day it was performed? I must be getting really old! icon_razz.gif

Wow. that was quick. You win.

Hey... when you get caught between the moon and New York City, the best that you can do is get drunk and blow a zillion dollars.

I still use that quote with older friends who announce some trivial item about themselves as if anyone should really care. And even if someone's too young to know the movie it's taken from, spoken with the correct amount of dripping sarcasm the line can still work on its own.

But in my own defense, you old curmudgeon, I did write in the OP: "Not earth-shattering news, but mentioned as a courtesy to RJ members, along with the reason."

Now pardon me while I go alert the media myself, and phone Pompano Bill to take the pics. icon_wink.gif

Actually, neither do I. But occasionally you get these inexplicable urges, ya know? Cue jingle music: "Sometimes you feel like a Red, sometimes you don't."

love the movie, wonder at the accent...what/where is this accent from? i am guessing TC had the same lousy dialect coaches that murder a proper new orleans accent in movies?

doesn't sound like beacon hill bawstaun, not neu yeurrk city, not joisay..is this how mainline philadephians talk? icon_lol.gif

lol hang on a sec rnch.............

That's better; now when I see Wilton and post on his topics I get the compulsion to tuck in my shirt and look presentable.

Quite dignified, really, and suits our Red (oops) rather well.
