So apparently he's lost a ton of weight for his new film role. Check it out below.

Now I don't particularly like the guy, but I think it's pretty impressive he is willing to do this for a film role especially given his acting ability is...umm...limited. But I honestly think he looks bad and maybe even unhealthy. He follows a long line of other actors either gaining or losing a ton of weight for a film role over a short period of time such as Matt Damon, Will Smith, and even Christian Bale. What's odd about it this time is that it looks like this is for a straight-to-DVD movie of some sort.

    Thoughts?

    HAHAHAHAHAHA @ street fighter!

Seriously though, I don't know how that type of weight loss is done. That can't be good on the body, though the injections he had in his chest and back weren't the healthiest either.

I think he's gonna change his name to 50 Gram.

But other than that, I applaud his determination to assume the character he's playing in the movie. That takes lots of hard work.

Actors have been known to lose and/or gain weight for a role, and sometimes it does cause health issues. Robert De Niro did some dramatic weight changes during the filming of Raging Bull, and gained weight again for The Untouchables, which have been reported as having caused him health problems.

    I doubt he's "unhealthy"

And I'm sure he won't have a hard time gaining his weight back. The guy is obviously knowledgeable about nutrition and training. Just look at him when he was buff!

That is crazy you going to loose all the muscle, do that to your body just for a movie. I mean does he really need the money he's rich already just from the Vitamin Water. It like when those women stay skinny just to be models or actress in Hollywood. No role is worth that

Most of the women who are skinny models are genetically skinny. Hollywood (and most talent agencies) can tell the difference between unhealthy and genetically skinny.
As for Mr. Cent, I think it's very noble of him to put his body through shit for this role. It goes far beyond the typical giving pocket change to cancer charities. Instead, he's giving his own health. Even if temporary, that's still a lot to give. I never liked him much, but my respect for him went up a million notches for this.

Didn't Matt Damon do the same for saving private Ryan?
