On Saturday 5-29-2010 at 2:19 pm, I scribbled down the final page of the final chapter of my Eternal First Novel; a novel that I have been working on since August 2008. Its dead ends and false starts were numerous.

Gods, what a wonderful feeling. I still have to type up the last five chapters but intend to do that today and tomorrow. Revision on the entire novel also awaits.

I am still in shock that I managed to write a novel of sorts. It's also a great source of pride that I just have to shout it out to the world.

    Already a second novel beckons.

I know how you feel, I'm half through editing mine. Started two years ago as well. You just have to stick with it everyday.

    Congratulations!

I am only in beginning the third chapter of mine and have been "working on it" for two years now. I think I need to force myself to write a little every night.

I'm beginning to doubt myself. I wrote my novel between November through this past February. That's only a few months. Should I worry?

    What's it about?

    And congratz! I"m envious!

    Peace,
    Me

Thanks for the kudos and congrats guys. Great group of guys on this site.

To the writers working on their novels, keep at it! I tried to work on mine a little bit everyday around 2-4 pages a day. Didn't always follow it; sometimes you have to leave it alone. Still I kept going.

As for the novel's plot, a small group of people spend a weekend in the country and right from the start Silliness reigns supreme. They transform, fight a battle for reality, and the Case of the Missing Mouse must be solved.

I call it my P.G. Wodehouse novel.
