Well you started good with breakfast and then it got a little shaky and then you just had too much for dinner.
here is what your day should look like.
    breakfast
    2 to 3 hours later
    snack
    2 to 3 hours later
    lunch
    2 to 3 hours
    snack
    2 to 3 hours later
    dinner
and if you stay up late then you can have another snack
cut back on the carbs except veggies
if you have to have them have them in the mornings and afternoons

Too much dinner. Spread it out through the day.
    ...or...
"Intermediate fasting" is what I do when I want to lose weight quick. Google for details.

A few people have said your dinner is too much. The thing is, we have no idea if your dinner is too much, because you don't give quantities of anything. Also, details do matter. White rice is rather different from brown or long grain. White pasta is rather different from whole wheat or the higher protein pasta plus from Barilla.

Similarly, "salad" could mean a lot of different things. You could be eating iceberg lettuce topped with a blue cheese or ranch dressing, or you could be eating spinach with some olive oil. Two very different health levels for something called "salad", especially as it seems to be your only intake of vegetables. And for the sandwiches: are you eating them with mustard, or mayo? Whole grain bread, or bread made with bleached flour?

You can get some more useful feedback if you include details like portion sizes, ingredients, and total calories. Also if you tell us whether you're trying to lose weight, gain weight, or stay the same; whether your weight has been holding constant over some period of time or trending in one direction or another; whether you're currently eating as much/less than/more than what you were eating while your weight was steady/increasing/decreasing; etc.

What is this diet for? That would give good insight to what you plan on doing while on the diet.

Oats have some protein and if he eats/cooks them with milk he'll get even more. icon_razz.gif

Like MSU pointed out, portion size is everything. You can gain weight off anything if you eat enough. Similarly you can lose weight eating everything if you have control of the quantities you consume countered against the calories you burn daily.

they also have some fat, but if you're not getting adequate fat and protein into your body before lunch i think you're body would start to eat itself and slow metabolically.

You presented a diet without giving any indication of your goal or present situation. Neither did you mention your calorie expenditure such as the amount of exercise you do regularly. (I assume that your profile has your height and weight so that all this would be relevant.) Is this a continuation from another thread that you didn't mention here?

    Dude,

Proteins are the building blocks of muscle (with proper amino acids.) You should eat about 165 grams or more a day if you want to gain muscle, loose fat...increased muscularity will help to burn fat so see how this works?? MEN NEED MUSCLE!!!

Cut the pasta, breads out and add more protein...unless you need all the carbs
