Ok, so I was cleaning my car this morning (it's a pseudo-holiday for me) and I was amazed at what I found - an ungodly amount of protein bar wrapper carcasses, sports drink bottles galore, napkins and tissues (unused), a coffee mug, antenna balls (WTF?!), random pieces of paper with random direction, condoms (again, unused), and lube (the portable ones - unused as well). There's more, but these are what stuck out in my memory.

Aside from the fact that I need to be better about keeping my car clean, what would you find in your car if you made an impromptu cleaning sweep today, at this very moment?

This should get interesting. . .

I am just about to tackle the car. I feel a mixture of dread and fascination at what may be in there.

At this moment, they would find a pillow cover from a pillow that Zach chewed and needs to have some sewing work.... an umbrella in case I get caught in the rain while seeing a client.. my gym bag in the back... a pair of shorts that needs also to have the zipper replaced. Thats about it... but it does need to be vacuumed. Its a little dirty at the moment.

Nothing. I usually keep my vehicles fairly neat, but the houseboy couldn't sleep last Thursday, got up in the middle of the night, and detailed my car. I've got to hold on to this one...

My brother's vehicles on the other hand...
I'm not sure there are even seats in there. You just sit on a big mound of used car parts, dirty dive gear, empty beer cans, assorted greasy tools, dog toys, baby seats, and dirty clothes. When he invites you to hop in for a ride, he sort of stirs it around a little bit and pats on the place where you're supposed to sit.

Doghair! Grass clippings, twigs, leaves, soil, empty pots, bits of twine, those paper compost garbage bags, (I am a landscaper and use my poor SUV for work) gas receipts, and lots of coins. Thanks for inspiring me to go out and clean it! icon_biggrin.gif

I'd find nothing except the things it came with as I drove it off the dealer's lot!

My car is always clean except for maybe a little bit of dust and some leaves on the floor as the tree in front of it sheds a lot. One day I went grocery shopping and had quite a few bags. I usually put them in the back seat but this day I had a few extra so I put them in the trunk instead. I got home and unloaded the trunk and put everything away. I thought that I had purchased a few items that I did not have. I called the grocery store to see if maybe I left them behind. they said no bags were left there so far today. A few days later, I went out to my car to go to an interview and my car just reeked of bad smells. You could smell it before I even got to the car. Opened my trunk and there was the bag of groceries still in it.

my car is always empty because it's not a storage bin or a place to eat ... if I do consume something I put the item(s) in the shopping bags and throw them away (recycle the shopping bags, plastics, aluminum, etc.).

Ok here goes, my emergency kit, containing jumper cables, foil blanket, flares, etc, My Beach Chair, Neutrogena 70 SunBlock Spray, some books, and my white uniform top from the Hospital Pharmacy, Now to the middle, my workout bands for use at work when its really slow. My gym bag which is packed with all clean clothes. Now to the front seat. in the compartment between the seats, you will find. A bottle of viagra, not that I need it, an unopened bottle of lube, some new condoms, a bottle opener, keys to the boat, a flashlight, ALOT OF CHANGE, and some empty cups from the gym
oh yes and a bottle of baby aspirin, I usually carry a few MRE's in the back seat along with a case of water, See we live along the gulf coast. So thats about it for me now. When my car was brand new, it was spotless, now its paid for and 100,000 miles but its still clean, just my storage bins are full.

Winter items to go to the dry cleaners (wool blankets, sweaters, etc).

It's 90 degrees in Philadelphia today so I guess it's time to drop that stuff off.
