Supplements???

    I am trying to get bigger -- my frame is really small so I know I need supplements. Problem is, it's so hard to ascertain what to take and what is a waste of time. Right now I am drinking protein shakes after my workout -- and a casein protein shake at night. I also take a flax seed oil pill twice a day but that's it. I heard Jake Gyllenhaal took Omega 3, 6, 9 for his workout plan for his newest movie (which looks awful btw). Anyway, what supplements does everyone take? What are helpful in growing???

    Why do you think you need supplements to get bigger? Why not just eat more?

    You have to intake more calories to bulk up. You can do this by either eating more and using supplements to help increase your calorie in take. Protein will be your best option. You just need to find something that has more calories in it and less fat. That will likely help to increase mass. What I do to get in more calories is have cottage cheese or Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex.

    eat more food (good food) and dont cardio as much. Lift weights with sets of lower number....i.e. 3x3, 4x3, 5-4-3-2-1

    Eat more, and eat better. If you really want to make the people rich who manufacture all the additives and supplements, you can send them some money. But you can find all you need in your grocery store.

    You've got the most important parts in place. Be sure you are well-fed prior to your workout, and I would add a pre-workout shake like SuperPump 250 about 20 minutes before. Both these things will enable you to lift heavier and with greater concentration, which will lead to bigger gains. Consume protein throughout the day, especially in the morning when you wake up.

    Of course, all that depends on you pushing yourself in your workout. Muscles must be worked to failure. The amount of weight is not what matters; what matters is pushing past whatever your limits are that day, while maintaining absolutely correct form. If you can, have a friend help you do forced reps, after you can no longer lift the weight on your own. And don't do the same routine every week; keep the muscles confused.

    Also, make sure you drink lots of water throughout the day and get enough sleep at night.
