Damn... this is insane! Who knew that a 'beverage' could be so bad for you. ESPECIALLY the ones at the beginning. The ice cream loaded ones are less surprising, except the sheer number of calories.... I dont even want to think about how long it would take to burn off the calories in the #1 spot.

I think it's a matter of perspective. I see those ice blended drinks as a source for fuel before a workout. But for people that don't exercise.. yeah, it's probably not a good idea. icon_lol.gif

Jeez. Thanks. My guilty pleasure is the occasional milkshake. I had deliberately kept myself from knowing.

/Side note. Cold Stone Creamery supports marriage bans. DON'T GIVE THEM MONEY TO OPPRESS US.

Well...when you have a metabolism like I do those drinks don't do anything. yet. My drink from Jamba is:

Power ColdBuster everything taken out but Bananas
    Sub:
    Extra Bananas
    Granola
    Peanut
    Frozen Yogurt
    Soymilk
sub the 2 boosts with 2 whey boosts.

Added it up and its about 1600 calories, thanks to the yogurt and granola.

    AGREE!
Hell I have a hard time with Gatorade and the Arnold Palmer iced tea/lemonade mix with splenda...because of the sugar and the calories..but the drinks listed were a diabetics nightmare...and I'm not even diabetic! those are terrible!

My two favorite drinks are really strong Folgers Colombian coffee with shitloads of cream and sugar, and water.

Oh and Long Island Iced Teas, Margaritas, White Russians, and various chocolate or espresso martinis.

I liked the green tea SOBE..... it tasted fine... you gotta see the big picture, it's the equivalent of a gatorade, you only would drink that in between sports.

Also, I put on weight before cause of marguerittas, so I know they are packed with calories, especially the cheap ones who got more of the corn syrup base and less of the tequila.

I'm a fan of those bottled Starbucks Mocha Frappuccinos. They are a nice perk when I want something cold. There is a "light" version that's out that only has 100 calories and 11g of sugar per bottle. I believe it's sweetened with Splenda. It seriously tastes like the original, full-calorie counterpart.

Number 13 was for "Worst Functional Beverage"

What exactly is a functional beverage?

haha, this is funny especially the comparisons of starbuck's to ice cream. Starbuck's is today what Baskin Robbins was 20 years ago. It's not coffee, it's a damn milkshake! (why I drink black drip coffee)

This mocha has more calories than two Big Macs! How is that even possible? Maybe if I started drinking these I'd actually start gaining weight? icon_eek.gif

    damn

When I used to drink coffee, my treat was a non-fat unsweetened cafe mocha from Starbucks. At least that was nowhere near as bad as those.
