    Fantastic news! "A federal judge this afternoon threw out a lawsuit against Oregon's domestic partnership law, allowing the legislation to go into effect about 4:20 p.m."

    We live across the river in Vancouver, WA. Washington State passed their domestic partnership bill last year and it went into effect July, 22 2007. I never would have guessed that WA would have it before Oregon. They are now working on another bill that would expand rights further under domestic partnerships.

    Congratulations swpdxguy and all you other oregonians that have been waiting for this.

    I'm suprised that it took so long on Oregon as well - I think the problem was a well-funded and zealous group of conservatives. They are talking about contesting the decision again.

    keeping healthy - did you and your partner register? I have several friends who moved to Vancouver just for that reason.
