I was recently on vacay with the fam at my parents house in mexico (Mulege, baja south on the sea of cortez) and the coolest thing happened.

I was cruisin' the sea on a wave runner, just lookin' at all the cool fish in the water when i see movement on the surface of the water (it was like glass on the water on this day). so i crept over to the spot and there it is, a ~20 foot whale shark.

I was in awe, i couldnt get the smile off my face, with the waverunner idleing (about 1-2 mph) i was passing the fish. it was so docile and relaxed i was amazed. so i pulled in front of it a little bit, slipped into the water, took a breath, went under and swam towards it i got about a 10 foot pet across it's side until i needed to swim up. as i get to the surface i was about 2 inches from getting slapped in the face with his tail, haha, but i dodged it. this is the whale shark i saw:

How about going to the Grammy Awards in a limo, walking the red carpet, and later watching my client win the Grammy for "Best New Artist.

It should be mentioned that months later I sat at the press conference in which said client returned that Grammy Award after it was revealed that, although there multi-platinum album was named "Girl, You Know It's True", virtually every thing about them down to their fake hair extensions was FALSE icon_eek.gif

I got to ride in the Goodyear Blimp Enterprise, rather accidentally. It was an odd combination of bizarre and intense. From the inside, it looks like something Dr. Suess might have invented.

    March 14th, 2010:

I saw the Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda.
One of them came up, touched my shoe, then reached up and shook my hand.

o Going on a lunch date as a military escort for Miss Georgia, Patti Dunn, just before the 2000 Miss America pageant.

o Flying into Pakistan in a US Army Blackhawk helicopter in 2007. That was an eyes-wide-open experience. icon_eek.gif Also on the same trip, smoking a Cuban cigar on the rooftop of an Islamabad hotel

o Watching the space shuttle re-enter the Earth's atmosphere as I looked out of my window seat on a flight from Lafayette, LA to Atlanta, GA, 10 minutes into the flight. It was a red streak in the pre-dawn sky. 5 minutes after I watched it, the pilot came on the loudspeaker and announced to everyone to be on the lookout for it. No, I didn't tell anyone they missed it. icon_lol.gif

Dude! I love Mulege! I go there every summer with my family and rent a house on a little river that leads to the Sea of Cortez. I've seen whale sharks, turtles, hammerheads, queen triggerfish, dorado, and all kinds of awesome sea life. You know the Hotel Serenidad? Thats where most people go when they first arrive in Mulege.

Walking back to the car after sunset at Makena (Maui), my partner and I got to see bioluminescent critters in the sand and surf. We were the only people on the beach. It was our last night on the island, and was an awesome ending to an awesome trip!

I was SCUBA diving in the British Virgin Islands once and had to make a safety stop (to avoid the 'bends'). All of a sudden a school of barracudas swam right past my diving buddy and me.

There were three-foot barracudas below me, above me, and on both sides. icon_cool.gif

I was in Jackson Wyoming hiking on the Grand Teton when I saw a Golden Eagle. It was during a lightning storm, and the bird was perched on a dead tree haning off the side of the cliff face. The wind and rain had been the only sounds most of the hike, but at this moment both stopped. It was silent, and the eagle seemed to realize it too. It let out a high screech, and dove backwards over the cliff's edge right as a lightning bolt cracked in panorama view across the sky. The thunder boomed almost immediately due to the lightning's close proximity. The air was chared and smelled like fresh earth, and the lighting was as ethereal as dusk. I felt as if I was a character in a romantic painting, the pinnacle beauty and wonder of nature.
