    wow...

without knowing the full context of the circumstances, though, I'm not sure if the confrontation that ensued is 100-0...

meanwhile - wow, yes, Dad's got the kid's back! holy cow!

I think that is awesome how dad stuck up for his son. That is truly a good loving parent! It is refreshing to see that since so many people don't have that kind of backup from their parents when they are gay. Very powerful!

The guy who gets the much-deserved berating (Finn) is not in a relationship with the other kid (Kurt).

Basically what happens is the boys' widowed parents are dating one another, and they move into the same house. The openly gay Kurt has had a very obvious crush on Finn since the beginning of the show, gets excited, and redecorates the room to suit both their tastes. Finn takes it the wrong way and goes off on him, when the dad walks in hearing him dropping f-bombs left and right.

No. Its a show about a high school glee club, and the gay kid has a crush on the straight kid, but hes sort of at that age (like 16 I think) where he doesn't understand that no matter how much you like a straight guy, hes still a straight guy.

You forgot to mention that Kurt orchestrated the whole thing. icon_razz.gif

That clip is but one of many reasons that I watch GLEE and find it one of the best shows to hit television in years. I hope it wins many Emmys.

It is from a scripted TV show. I wonder how real life would compare.

I started watching the show a few weeks ago and I cant believe it but I'm hooked. That scene was just one of my many favorites in the short time I've watched.
