I liked that. I especially liked all the theories of the change as well as information about the variety in the sexual continuum ..

As for the aversion among men, it may be softening a bit. Professor Savin-Williams says that his current research reveals that the fastest-growing group along the sexuality continuum are men who self-identify as “mostly straight” as opposed to labels like “straight,” “gay” or “bisexual.” They acknowledge some level of attraction to other men even as they say that they probably wouldn’t act on it, but ... the right guy, the right day, a few beers and who knows. As the professor points out, you would never have heard that in years past.

It's only a survey, full of theories. Leopards don't change spots over night..

    Attitudes can.

Day 1: Guy doesn't think homosexuality is moral.
Night 1: Guy's beloved twin brother comes out of the closet.
Day 2: Guy no longer thinks homosexuality is immoral.

Interesting survey; but I'd like to see the same survey done exclusive with small towns (pop. less than 100,000) and other rural communities that aren't connected with a township.

I betcha the majority in small towns and rural areas will still be violently anti-gay. icon_wink.gif

Scally saidIts the word gay indicating camp and femine thats puts people off , a guy who is guy, and masculine can not relate to this .
    I couldn't agree more.
Whenever I say "I'm gay" most men have the same response: "But, you don't 'act' gay."

As much as I hate the "masculine vs feminine" debate, I think that's the whole issue surrounding the word "gay." More masculine men need to admit their homosexual desires and prove to people that not all gays are feminine. Until that happens, the public view will still lean toward gay=fem.
