The Cape Colony Inn might be one of the most affordable places to stay in Ptown during peak season. It's at the east end of Bradford St and a bit of a walk into town, but they usually have rooms for under $200/night and no minimum stays. They also have plenty of free parking. Most places in Ptown charge $250+ per night in high season and have minimum stay requirements. The Cape Colony is under new management, and I hear they are planning to remodel over the coming winter. The rooms are a little dated now, but they are clean. Nothing is cheap in Ptown, including the food. Expect a tab of at least $50 for lunch for two, and $100 for dinner for two at most restaurants. Good choices for affordable food are sandwiches at Relish (under $10) in the West End (plus they have amazing cupcakes), and Big Daddies Burritos in the Aquarium Mall. Blondie's on Commercial St has decent burgers that won't bankrupt you. Joe's Coffee on Commercial St, diagonally across from the Boatslip, has good sandwiches under $10, and they have fantastic brownies! There's also a take-out place on Commercial St just past the Lobster Pot and across from The Patio restaurant that serves lobster rolls for like $10. It's possible to get a very good dinner for an affordable price at Frappo 66 at the Art House. They offer a main course with 3 sides for under $20, and they even have half orders for less. Ptown is the best summer resort for the gay community!
