It's nice to see the staunch defender of traditional family values put his money where his mouth is about the Sanctity of Marriage as Rush makes a fourth trip to the alter with a woman 23 years his junior.

Can you believe Elton John performed at this dirtbag's wedding reception?

I'm not the least bit surprised by Rush Limbaugh.

I am very very disappointed in Elton John though.

Really? You're disappointed? That didn't tell you that Rush is not the homophobe bigot people claim he is.

Congrats Rush. Marriage is an interesting experiment that should be tried more than once.

Oh and it's "Sir Elton John," and lets not forget many homosexuals outside the US do not behold the same hang ups and issues as many of the homosexuals within the US. So because of this Sir Elton John was able to play at Rush's wedding, and see no wrong in his actions, because he did no wrong.

Have a nice day gentlemen, and all the best Rush.

Elton John selling out to someone who if he could have his way would outlaw Elton's relationship in no way suggests that Rush is not a hateful homophobic bigot.

Just because Limbaugh invited Elton John to perform at his wedding doesn't negate his hostility towards gays. All it shows it that Limbaugh is a fan of Elton's music. That's it. You can enjoy someone's music without having to think of the performer as an equal.

I know a guy who is on wife number 6. lol I'm getting left behind in the dust because I am still on my first one after 22 years together. My mother and dad are still on their first one after 60 years together. My sister and both my brothers are also still on there first one after each of them have more years together than even me. What is wrong with us?

One marriage is all I can hande in a lifetime and sometimes that is too much. lol I weathered the storm, though, and now peace has arrived. You can't give up, too soon because everyone goes through the storm and then peace finally does come and you realize you really were meant for each other. The storm can strengthen your relationship deeper than ever.

Could you imagine that thing bearing down on you during the honeymoon? (I just threw up in my mouth thinking about it.)

As for Elton, if he doesn't donate the $1 million, I will never buy another one of his records.icon_mad.gif

Fourth wife, huh? So much for those traditional, long-standing family values of yesteryear where marriages were meant to last for decades.

I was being light hearted about marriage should be tried more than once, as I never plan to get to the once. I will be content making a commitment on a beach in Maui, or by a water fall On the Big Island of Hawai'i; just the two of us. Or even on top of Ayers Rock. But a number of guys here have also had more then one wife.

Hah.. you haven´t heard of modern family values then?

It´s fine to have an adulterous affair, as long as the woman lives in Argentina.
It´s fine to have gay sex, as long as you pay the escort to go to Europe with you.

It´s not fine to expect equality in the law for same sex couples in the USA though! Fuck USA, yeah!

(I fear those words may be in the wrong order, but cannot remember the correct one just now).

Oh trust me! I am very well aware of today's conventions compared to the 1950's values Rush love to espouse on his show. So everything you mentioned -- Mark Sanford, George Reikers, same-sex marriage, along with the Ted Haggards, Larry Craigs, Mark Foleys, and all those other mal-representation in the "family value" Republican party -- are things I've kept close tabs on, and it's demoralizing, hypocritical, and disgusting!

sir elton john also performed on stage with eminem. i think he doesn't understand how these choices look to gay men in the USA (or else he's richer than god and doesn't give a fuck what anyone else thinks). i'm guessing he can do whatever he wants.

wait, doesn't he live in atlanta? how could he not know the context of this?

Actually... I hear in his new book he's in favor of civil unions for gays. He's not in favor of gay marriage supposedly for 'cultural' reasons. Bullshit.

He's not in favor of gay marriage because that would cause a backlash towards him... and he would lose money.

Politicians and politcal pundits pander to their base.

It's honestly not surprising. Elton John has actually stated that he does not believe in/approve of marriage between two people of the same sex. That money is going straight into the pockets of his man-toy not into any GLBT foundation.
