After a year separation, my partner is finally coming home at the end of the month. He has been working abroad due to visa complications. I am very excited and relieved - its as if a part of me that has been missing is being returned!

I was just curious if any of you might have some creative ideas that I could do for a homecoming.......? (I am taking a week off to attend to and make up for the duties I have not been able to perform over the last year!) icon_lol.gif

This must be a great moment coming up for you !!! Congratulations !!! I think I would have two or three of his favorite things to do, whether it be a candle light dinner at home, a mutual favorite place to visit where there are good memories, or a favorite place to eat, or anything else that "belongs" to you and him, have a plan for each option and give him a choice. He'll probably be tired from travel, or God knows !!! and maybe having a choice to fit how he feels upon arrival may help make this a great reunion with his heart in it as much as yours. I'm facing something similar in a few months, so I've had this on my mind too !!! the best to you !!!

I say lay low, let him AND you adjust to him being back and what not. OBVIOUSLY the first couple of days will be occupied, however after that rigorous work is done, he probably just wants to get back to normalcy at home with you, so don't rush or push him into anything, just feel it out and see what he says once he's home.

Although throwing him a BIG party with your friends and family to welcome him home would be GREAT too!!

    How Kool for you guys...

I'd set up something that he likes
    whatever it is
If he likes time at home
I'd make up a really romantic dinner for him from soup to nuts
but whatever it is I'd make sure it ends up in bed

Thanks guys. I like the intimate dinner idea followed by bed time! icon_biggrin.gif
