I'm not a hairy person, but parts of my legs do not have hair and other parts do. I have considered shaving so that my legs look the same. Any body else experience this?

Yeah, the backs of my legs don't have hair. Some people have told me it's from jeans rubbing up against them constantly, and others have even told me it's a Jew thing! Though I'm only a quarter Jewish by blood, it could be the reason?

Nope, not just a Jewish thing. I'm definitely not Jewish. I'd vote for the jeans.

I used to have hair down to my ankles. Now there are big bare batches down there. Is that normal? Or are we all plagued?

for some reason, my hair stops right at my ankles, probably because of socks.

yeah the sock thing seemed likely to me too. I was hoping for something more paranormal though! Something to make me sound hotter when a cute 20 year old followed my treasure trail all the way down there. Blah.

I've never had much hair on my legs, or anywhere else for that matter, so I just decided to shave. I actually like the feeling of the clean skin. Lot of maintenance though but it works.

Hair patterns are due to genetics- not friction. icon_razz.gif

I too also had hair down to my ankles, now there are just bald spots on the lower front part of my legs....I have been told its from socks, cowboy boots. I have also been told its because I am part Native American, and now a doctor has told me it could be because my grandmother had diabetes; even though I dont have diabetes I may have the gene and that might affect hair growth.....has anyone else ever heard or been told this?

Tried shaving my legs a couple of times. Felt great in the summer but way too much work. Plus the razor burn was sheer hell (that was not intentional).

I'll find you'll find the disease is Narcissistic Personality Disorder ... or maybe chronic body dysmorphic disorder.

Agree!! I don't get it when a hairy guy shaves off some of his most masculine and attractive features! If you don't have it, that is fine, but if you do, please don't shave it!

I've seen guys at the gym that you can tell have shaved their chests and/or legs, even arms and I just shake my head. A hairy chest and/or legs is so SO sexy and masculine. Love it.

Life is too short to worry about such stuff.

Frankly the cost of the cosmetics involved and the time to fiddle with it all are enough to make me not shave. Guess it is luck that I'm not very hairy.
