I'm forced to watch because of work. It's 100% against my will and frankly I just wanted it to end in four games, who gives a shit if it was LA or Boston (apologies to my fellow Bostonians). Alas... another 2:30 a.m. EDT night for me tomorrow. WTF. And if Boston wins... there's the parade and the rally and days of mayhem. It's all so.... straight.

My NBA philosophy is generally just drool over the hot sweaty muscular arms and legs as they prance around on the floor bouncing the ball around.

Basketball is the worst for that though. Loose uniforms.

I guess I should cheer for Boston since I lived there for four years, but I still don't understand why the NBA can't lower the basket height so, essentially, anyone/everyone could play, not just the super-tall, who are bred to be so--ie: Yao Ming.

I'd rather watch football, anyday, the beautiful game.

I believe Michael Jordan is at fault... ...well... I remember some guy bitching about his shorts being too short and wouldn't wear them 'cause all hard and shit. icon_rolleyes.gif ...it just caught on after that. Not very practical, but they look less "gay." icon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif

I don't watch it- but I hate the Lakers. Hopefully their moral is low after losing two games in a row and will cause them to lose a the third.

Sad that Boston lost. Love the Mc's You Irish boys in Chicago should be ashamed. Rooting for the Laker's is like rooting for the Yanks icon_sad.gif

Miss those skimpy shorts of the old days on these BIG muscular men. I was an NBA fan as a single digit kid because of those shorts and the men who wore thejavascript:void(0);m. Same style we wore through high school back in the day.

2011 NBA Finals start tonight. Time to dust off this thread from last year and get predictions.

I'm a long-time Dallas Mavericks fan and will be pulling for them all the way. However, I'm also a realist and think that even though the Mavs swept Miami during the regular season, Miami will win the series and the championship. It just seems like the Heat have shifted into another gear and will be tough to beat.

My prediction: Heat in 5 (or 6).

    That said, GO MAVS!
