my ford contour svt died on friday for real, RIP, and I am not putting another dime in it (spent over 5k on repairs over past 2 years, plus maintenance fees).

I have about 10k to get a new ride. Any suggestions? prefer sporty, but not too souped up, reliable (need it to last all 9 years of medical school, cause student loans aren't gonna pay my car loan, lol), and with some back space for a 6'2 surfboard, hockey sticks other sport junk like that. Sexy looking wouldn't be too bad.

Oh and a used car is definitely what I'm going for at this price range.icon_cool.gif

There was a guy selling his Lotus for a little under 10 not to long ago.

Just don't be surprised when you pay that much in repairs after you drive the dogshit out of it. icon_wink.gif

Might consider taking over the lease of someone else.

www.LeaseTrader.com offers many good vehicles with varying lease life & mileage left.

That way, you get to 'try' a car for 1 to 3 years without committing to paying for something you find you don't like that much after all.

Also: Enterprise Rent-a-Car used car sales. Upfront pricing, 12 month/12,000 mile warranty and if you are a AAA member, sometimes special financing rates and double the warranty.

    Just FYI.

Get a used Subaru WRX... AWD, turbo, wagon, reliable. Plenty of aftermarket performance parts in case you want to make it go faster. You can pick up a 2003 - 2004 model for around $10K.
