I'd love to go but I like across the country. If it's the one I hear about it's supposed to be one of the biggest. I'm thinking about heading to DragonCon in Atlanta, GA in sept. Lot of guest stars and movie stars and most of all STAN LEE is supposed to be there. That is why I want to go.

The only tips I have right now are if you buy any comics before buying open them up and check them out. Seems kinda no brainer but sometimes in the rush of things I forget icon_rolleyes.gif but you never know how bad they could be on the inside.
Another tip: get there early. One to avoid traffic, two for some good parking and three to be in front of any lines.!!!

Any other tips out there for any ComicCon I'd love to hear.

    OH AND HAVE FUN.!!!!!

I went once, got dragged to it. I think I blocked most of it from my mind because I barely remember...It was during LotR heyday.

I've gone twice in the past, but for work not for pleasure. It has exploded in popularity with the press but it's still a clusterf**k.

It's loaded with a variety of booth babes, cosplay freaks, manufacturers, licensors/licensees, and video game publishers pushing their wares. It's over-commericalized to the Nth degree. I remember when it used to actually focus on comic book trading and purchasing. Now, in terms of the show's roots, it's a well-financed joke. I believe it has sold out for the second consecutive year, but tickets are limited due to trade industry and press participation.

If you're a pop culture fanatic, you should definitely check it out, but be prepared for long lines with people who would rather argue amongst each other about their favorite Harry Potter spells and which Spider-Man costume best represents the hero, than about anything of substance. In other words, you'll leave the show with a few less brain cells and a lot less patience.

Yeah I think I'll stick to the smaller cons and enjoy those. And actually concentrate on the comic book aspect with a little focus on original artwork purchases from the artist.

If you are not sure of the guests I could try to find the website so you'll know who is supposed to be there and who isn't.

Have a great time though. If you have a facebook page I'd love to 'friend' you there and see any pics you may take....
