Just was wondering how many people out there use condoms for oral sex? If so, all the time or some of the time? What is everyone's opinion on it? Do you feel like you should, but don't, or that it's not worth it?

I use them sometimes for oral sex, but not always. I feel like I should more often, just to be extra super safe.

    Thoughts?

I insist on condom when giving somebody head, but it up to them if they want to give me head condomless or not. I not sure how big is a risk of receiving head condomless, but I sure it lot less than giving head.

Oral Sex is the opposite of anal sex. It is far less dangerous when the receiver than when the giver. Matter of fact for HIV the risk is almost zip if you are getting a blowjob from somebody who is HIV+.

However, if you are giving the blowjob and don't want to use a condom, there are a few precautions you can use to minimize the risk.

    1. Good dental hygiene is important. If you have bad gums that are prone to bleeding then you should seriously consider putting a rubber on the guy.

    2. Rinse your mouth with a water and salt solution to test if there are any cuts you did not know about before having sex.

    3. Don't brush your teeth before giving someone a blowjob without a condom. I would recommend at least 3 hours before sex (I have seen times of 1 hour).

    JDEDWARDS,

Now that good to hear. But I have read smoewhere there is still possiblity of infection, on the opening of a penis (where we urinate). It certainly not a completely safe things to do. But of course logically it should be safer, there not cum or precum invovle.

Actually I should be a bit clearer, if I have a cut in my mouth I do not give my partner a blowjob! If I have any blood in my mouth at all I am extremely cautious.

Is this just to do with bleeding gums?

The reason not to brush your teeth before oral sex is to prevent opening up small cuts in the gums, or even on the tongue (if you brush your tongue). Even if you have healthy gums, brushing them can sometimes open up small cuts you may not be aware of allowing pre-cum to enter.
