I'm a performer. Eccentric, open, communicative, (over)committed, introspective, spontaneous, curious, disciplined, bit into the mystic, very into friends.

Enjoy weight training off and on, but a lot of my training time also goes to flexibility, balance, body awareness, reactions and voice; breath is my big thing right now. While studying to be an actor I've done little bits of a whole lot of things-- some modern dance, ballet, kenpo karate, Suzuki, yoga . . . it goes on. I'm interested in the relationship between physical behavior and thoughts and emotions and people tell me I have an instinct for body work. I'd love to learn more; I had a session with a Trager Approach practitioner late in '08 and it changed my life.

I'm not big into sports, mainly from lack of experience-- used to play soccer and liked it, swimming is cool and would probably be even cooler if I knew how to do it, and my one meeting with a kayak was very memorable. So I'll try almost anything out. I love learning-- at any given moment I'm an amateur at many things (running, cello, Russian, Japanese, some other languages, modern dance, writing music) and a journeyman at many more (directing, acting, singing, Spanish, writing plays and fiction). I expect a lot of myself.

Career is a big part of my mind right now. I recently directed my first play in New Orleans. Do I pursue directing, acting, languages, writing, body work? Currently the answer is all of those, but I have a feeling I might have to narrow my focus soon.

FACTS
I want to speak every language in the world. I make my own languages sometimes, which only makes this goal more impossible.
I have a deep, sometimes booming voice that doesn't quite fit my body. While in small rooms or hallways I like to hum and find the note that will make the walls and the floor vibrate.

I'm just out of my first relationship. We had a good year. Still inexperienced on that front. But that's not what you asked! Life is change right now, so I'm up for meeting anyone, though I get along best with doers and adventurers who take on huge tasks. I'm learning the part of me that can be ready for anything and that can blur the edges between me and someone else just a little; I think we all have that in us and we can help each other bring it out.
