This is always the hardest thing for me to do, because I hate talking about myself, but I will give it my best. I grew up in a small town, raised by a fantastic family that had its usual ups and downs. I have always been kind of a clown (as you may be able to tell from my pictures) and I love to make people laugh...even if it is at my own expense. I have learned not to take everything so seriously. I am fiercely loyal to my friends until the end. My shy disposition has sometimes caused people to "brand" me as an asshole, but it doesn't really bother me because the people that take the time to get to know me at some point admit to being wrong about their initial impression of me. People are always going to think what they think no matter what. My free time is usually spent with friends drinking on a patio somewhere when the weather is nice, shopping, watching television, going to the movies, going out, working out (5x+ per week), running around Town Lake, washing my Jeep on a sunny day, checking out hotties, listening to music, dancing, and really...the list could go on and on forever and a day. My favorite color is...well it is tie between blue and purple, but I also like red every once in a while, and pink is also a contender. I look good in all of those colors and my shirt size is typically a medium. Tito's Vodka and Seven is my favorite drink. I love italian food, and Kelly Clarkson is and will ALWAYS be my American Idol. I consider myself to be a geek, because I think I am pretty smart, but mostly because I wear glasses. I am also one of those guys that buys greeting cards to give to that one special guy I will one day call my "boyfriend". For some reason, I am a serial long distance relationship guy, but it would be nice to find someone in Austin that will flip my lid that is within driving distance. I have been in Austin for what feels like forever and I still LOVE this city, but sadly I have to admit that I don't think Austin fits into the final stages of my newly minted "Five Year Plan". This is all relative. We can all say that we have a "type" until the cows come home, but the truth of the matter is, we can't fight attraction or who we are inevitably attracted to. I like a guy that can take charge and be an aggressor sometimes...I was the chaser in my 20's, and now it would be nice to be the one being chased...sadly...it hasn't quite started happening yet. I also like a guy that has a razor sharp wit and a clever sense of humor to match my own. He would have a smile that can turn my world on. Someone that isn't afraid to commit to something, and who understands that it will be hard sometimes, but also knows that nothing that is super easy is as worth it. A guy who is honest. A guy that I can take home to my family and proudly say...this is my boyfriend. A traveling companion. A guy that won't object to going out every once in a while and always saves the last dance for me. A guy that knows my friends are important to me and that I need to spend time with them...without him sometimes. In all honesty, I am quite content being single right now, although my coupled friends have made it clear that they are starting to worry about me...which I appreciate, but they have a horrible habit of bringing it up after a night of going out...and we ALL know how booze can intensify the thoughts. I know things can't be rushed and when the right guy comes along, I am pretty sure we will both know, and I am very excited for that moment. I just hope when that time comes, I will be able to recognize it, because there are times when I can be completely oblivious to things of that nature.
