Time to simplify. Been an athlete and body guy most of my life. I actually played a lot of the sports that I list in my profile. I enjoy just being outside, exploring, getting my heart rate up for extended lengths of time like after a good mountain bike trip. If you think endorphins are a myth - try exercising until you can't go no more - it is a revelation.
I have always been a man who acts according to my convictions and beliefs, without worrying about how my activism will might wear on my 'popularity'. My methods have always served me well. Going away to summer camp as a kid - and being a counselor for a couple of years after my camper years were some of the best times of my life. I find people who both enjoy and respect the wilderness to be some of the most stand-up and caring individuals on earth.
Now that I live with a life changing disability as a result of volunteering for one of the earliest studies at the NIH that was searching for an effective HIV treatment, my life has changed and changed for the better. There is something very valuable about having to slow down more than I ever planned to slow down. I am not sure that I would have done it on my own. Sure, the HIV study made me angry, not so much for myself since I am the lone survivor, but for those that didn't. I spend my days now helping find solutions to the issues around being disabled and over 55. That doesn't mean I don't mtn. bike almost daily, and hit the gym too. Those are the bright spots in my days.
I am very drawn to men who are athletes. and have a conscience. I am and always will be a sucker for a good kisser.
Guys I'm Looking To Meet
I think I covered this some above - Mature - athletic - balanced - guys with a passion and interests - can be same as mine or different. Don't think I an strong enough to live with a republican. Seek someone to be an equal partner - not to dominate or to be fixed. At my age we all have baggage - I do a lot of work on mine when appropriate - seek someopne with a introspective side.
Fun = like food - cooking and eating. Friends and family are important too Watfhing a film on the sofa in boxers and having some quiet time together is a good thing too,0D
